When we arrived, we had to arrive at a different location for check in. This was fine. However we were NOT given our parking pass making us get flagged and almost towed overnight, on night 2, of our 2 day stay. We then got to the room. It was okay as for size. It had a small shower in room 10. There is NO WAY a large person would fit. Come to think of it the entire bathroom is NOT ADA STANDARD. My 5' 11" husband had the shower faucet in his face to shower. I at 5' 5" felt claustrophobic while in the bathroom. The entire bathroom was simply too small. ||On the first night I realized my shower was probably never cleaned, a wash cloth from the previous guest was hanging above my head!!! ||There was also the issue of obvious signs of serious need of repairs. Such as ants crawling ON the table. There were cracked and hollowed floor tiles. VISIBLE signs of rust from where leaks happened in the bathroom AND under the AC UNIT. Out dated faucets and sinks. Nothing is modern. In the bathroom the screen was broken, like someone had broken in. This was NOT what I was expecting from such a highly rated place. Simply poor looking furnishings, and exterior. This place, if it were not on the beach would cost a considerable less amount. It is NOT worth the finances spent. I will not refer friends and family here. It is a hole in the wall away from the beach but walkable to A1A. However, the view outfront of the hotel is nothing but construction and all under renovation so there is no view and streets can be difficult to navigate as sidewalks aren't always available. Walking home we almost got mowed down by someone flying down the street. When it came to check out no one gave instructions as to how to confirm. ||||In the room , I found the pillows to be okay but the thin blanket thing they have is NOT enough and there is NO OTHER LINEN available in the room. ||||As a native Floridian, I have traveled to MANY PLACES. I have stayed at high end and low end. Although it was suggested to me as high end, I have been to other low end resorts that offer better pricing and way more bang. ||Unfortunately I was highly unimpressed. It was a bed. That's...
Read moreI wanted to love this place. I really did. It's super cute. A great location. And the price is fabulous. We got a one-bedroom Suite which was good for kids. They loved the pool.
Check-in was a super hassle because you have to check in at a different location. There was no one there so after calling and ringing the bell for about 20 minutes we finally roused someone who came over and checked us in.
Our room was cute and comfortable. Two full bathrooms which was really nice with the kids! The kitchen was functional. The beds left a bit to be desired.
Housekeeping let me look at some of the other rooms and they are super cute. Could stand a little bit of updating and better furniture. This isn't even Ikea furniture, it's a step below. But with some better furniture and a little bit of updating (and a ton of soundproofing) this place would be adorable.
But ... the walls are incredibly thin. The first night our neighbors decided to have a party right about 1:00 a.m. Reported it, and the management was right on top of it and shut it down.
Unfortunately the 2nd night there were people in the room above us. We could hear every step they took on the floor, every word of every conversation, and more. No one got any sleep.
I never saw any of the bugs people have complained about in previous reviews. Our unit was very clean.
It wasn't horrible, not the worst I've ever stayed in, but definitely not a great place for families or children because there's just too much noise......
Read moreWe showed up to the hotel to find another guest wondering the parking lot looking for where to check in. After about 10 minutes we figured out the office is located 2 blocks away. No notice of this on the website or reservation instructions. Immediately after checking in we find out the cable and internet were not working. I called multiple times and was finally able to get ahold of somebody at the office. They told me someone would be by to fix the issue. No one arrived so we left not wanting to waste our night waiting on them. Came back to the room and it still wasnt working. They sent someone over 30 minutes after i called again. He simply unplugged the box and plugged in back in which i told them i already did. He said they would have to contact comcast in the morning. I called several times the next day only to be put on hold and hung up on. I finally was able to talk to someone and informed them we were leaving for most of the day and they could fix it while we were gone. Came back to the room around 7 and it hadnt been fixed. Called them again to have them laugh at us on the phone. The issue was finally fixed around 11pm the night before we check out. We were told the only compensation we could receive was an unknown percentage off our next stay. We are still waiting for management to contact us with confirmation on the percentage per Rafael at the front desk. The only redeeming factors of this hotel are the calm and quiet location and the room was really nice...
