Where do i even begin. This is condo #402 which we paid a total of $1365.37. There were 4 adults this is a 3 bath condo with no water pressure so we could only use 1 bathroom and 1 person at a time. There was water in the hallway to the kitchen which is very obvious that this has a serious leak. The condo is so outdate . it's very sad that they take people money for a condo that is in this poor of condition. To make things even better the air condition froze and we had no air. My uncle who is an engineer was able to start cleaning up the mess from water leaking allover. As you can see in the pictures the air has not been serviced nor has the filter in this pet friendly unit been changed in over a long period of time. A air conditioning person came out at 1am to try and get it working, which it did but as soon as it stays on for 24 hors it starts freezing. This has the potential to be a nice unit but it looks like the owners take no interest in fixing this up. I was told for all the trouble we would be refunded a total of $230. What a joke. i should be refunded if not all more then half. This place is disgusting and i will never stay at this facility again or use vacasa. The manager told me that this is a old bldg and that happens when we run things all together. washer, dishwasher.... none of this was being used. Please beware this place is not worth the money at all and if i could of found a different place i would of left. To the owners you should really go and look at your place its a huge mess leaks everywhere and very filthy dirty. I am a property owner myself and this is just uncalled for. I would never treat any of my tennants in this matter or expect them to pay...
Read moreWe were very disappointed with Rivers Edge Condominiums. We timed our arrival to get there at their published check in time (3:00 PM) only to find a note on the door that said "Back at 4:00 PM. So we waited in the car until someone arrived. Once a clerk arrived I asked why the check in office was not open as advertised and was told his shift started at 4:00 PM and the previous shift must have left early. I explained we had waited an hour and was told and I quote "It is what it is". Very rude comment. The condition of the condo we stayed in was in considerable disrepair (see photos). Bottom line, we will not be back. As a footnote, also disappointed with Helen as a whole. We use to vacation here years ago when it was much nicer. Most of the shops have changed from European Crafts & art to cheap t-shirts and trinkets made in China. Helen is just not what is use to be. Regarding the disrepair of the condo. The door had been broken into and the jam was screwed back together. Stains from water leaks were everywhere in the ceilings. The shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall making the shower curtain too long (long enough to clog the drain). The smoke detector was so old it had turned yellow. Note a smoke detector has a shelf life (usually around 10 years). These were much older and of questionable working order. An electrical plug was loose and a hazard. Read moreWe stayed in Rivers Edge Condo 504 for 2 nights. The condo unit has a 'stale' and 'old' smell throughout. The bed pillows were badly stained and there was no blanket for the bed...only the sheet and spread. There are holes in the sheetrock The heating/cooling vents are in the ceiling and blow directly down on you. There must not be a filter on the heating/cooling unit because the walls look like black suet has blown on them where the vents blow toward. The bedroom vent was half hanging down from ceiling. The ceiling fans in each room had thick dust on the edge of fan blade The ceilings had cobwebs hanging down, and the kitchen wall also had cobwebs. The sliding glass door to the deck overlooking river had a hazy dirty film cover that you could barely see through. Needs cleaning. The wrought iron patio table and chairs were so rusty that we could not sit on for fear of the rust staining our clothes. During check-in the clerk was not friendly or helpful.
This unit needs thorough cleaning from ceiling to floor, paint, and update to heating/cooling, added bed linens, and new pillows. The location was good and the river view was beautiful.
