This place was great, good variety of things to do & kill time. The only reason I give a 4 instead of a 5 was because of the young woman working there. As soon as my partner & I walked in, she was quite aggressive. We were the only ones there. Upon asking us if we had any questions, I told her that we've never done axe-throwing before & also didn't know how their establishment worked, she snapped at us, "That's not a question." Then, instead of giving us a demonstration of how it worked, she decided to make me throw. I again told her that I don't know how. She's then barking at me the entire time with every throw I make. I'm shaking & on the verge of tears with anxiety, I'm just wanting her to go away at this point. Eventually, she actually shows me how to do it. I don't even feel happy when I am finally able to make my first hit because I'm just anxious & embarrassed. I slowly start to enjoy myself once she goes away. I even make a few bullseyes. So, if I had just been shown from the get-go instead of being put in that uncomfortable situation, everything could have gone so much smoother during the lesoon. If my date hadn't already paid, I would have left. I'm sure she's a nice person overall & most likely meant well, but I kindly encourage that she tries to be more polite & welcoming, especially to people who are new to axe-throwing. I'd love to come back, starting off on...
Read moreExcellent place to try this unique experience. It is right off the main street in a building housing several other businesses. It is located on the south side of the building. You check in at the front and sign waivers either physically or electronically. You choose which lane you want. I believe that there are 6 lanes with chain link separators. There are tables for the people in your party who may not want to throw or may just want to watch. The wood target that you are throwing at has to be prepared by coating it with water. Once this is done you can start throwing or you can ask for pointers. They start the timer on your lane when you tell them are you ready. I had a great time. Joseph was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in both getting me started and teaching the basics of the art. I spent an hour practicing and learning how to throw short, long, and speed hatchets. He was nice enough to teach me lots of pointers before starting the clock so that I had the maximum amount of time to actually try the various hatchet. He would also provide me with pointers when I was missing the target. It was fun, entertaining, and good exercise. I highly...
Read moreWhen we visited, it was a thursday evening and the place was empty meaning we had it all to ourselves, which led to a very enjoyable experience. The pricing is decent compared to other axe throwing places and it was a whole lot of fun. I enjoyed the option of different axes to throw and we played several rounds within the time allotted. I do think some of the targets need to be replaced as the wood was so chipped and cut in some places it was hard to pull out the axe or have it stick, and we were getting splinters as well. That being said I think this is a great inclusion...
