Royal Indian Restaurant and Banquet Hall — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I typically don’t like to write bad reviews, but my experience today was such a disappointment. I am a business owner/resident on the south side of Indy. A great portion of my customers are apart of the Indian culture, I have the upmost respect for their culture mainly because of their customer service/ hospitality rather it be a restaurant or their personal residence. Today was the first time ever that I’ve encountered such a rude individual! She was rude when my wife placed the order over the phone and it kind of upset my wife, so I decided to go inside to get the food. I was very kind as I walked in to pay, but I immediately noticed the attitude of the lady at the register. I’ve come to this specific establishment many of times and have always had a great experience, but this lady was not someone I’ve seen before. I usual tip and leave with a respectful “namaste” 🙏🏾, but not today. When I got home I noticed my order was incorrect, so I called still very calm and respectful to address the error. The lady got mad at me and told me I was wrong and hung up on me. I called back after she hung up and still.. respectfully I told her that it was ok if the order was not correct, but it was not ok how she handled me as a customer and for that reason I will never return. I feel that she completely misrepresented this establishment and the Indian culture as a whole. This place was recommended to me by my Indian neighbors/customers whom I absolutely love! I will be sure to tell them about...

I order vegetarian options but the lady she’s not providing a good service when they were, somebody else came there she’s taking care of them when you’re ready order some different stuff she’s saying OK and after that she’s coming next time, forget it, and whenever you came inside, every Indian restaurants had papad and trays of chatni . Whenever she came back to get the order, she is just mismatch the whole order and I’m really particular for my order and she came back with different order but she just saying that if you try that it really good but I said I just wanna pick myself whatever I order I’m not consider anything else and at the same time somebody else came there and she offered a Papad and chatni to them whenever I told her like if I am Indian you’re not insist do you offer me the same things whatever you offer them because of they are white people I don’t understand like why these Indian culture going really bad because of these racism so the thing is, I got the same complaint from my whole friends group and I just came today to check it out. Is it real or not but I face the same problem whatever they are faced earlier so I’m never gonna come back in this restaurant either I never ever allowed anybody else to visit this. There are several‘s around here in Indianapolis, which is really good offering services. the lady she is rude rude lady CE’s really bad I never wanna coming back to this restaurant again have a nice day royal...

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Our server, a young girl ,She’s the only one working in front Handling everything very gently was absolutely fantastic—she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Her kindness really stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, it was delicious! Every dish we tried was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Overall, a great experience, and I’ll definitely be returning soon! Highly recommend this place. Rest of the restaurant Looks emptier But we enjoyed it because we get more attention.
