I can see why this inn has almost 5 stars! Because it deserves it. I booked a last-minute stay here for my husband and I around the 4th of July and we were able to secure a great rate. I didn’t know much about the area or hotel and booked it on the fly. We were so happy within the first minutes of arriving. What a great chance we took because it was two days of pure relaxation and happiness thanks to The Wentworth. We loved our experience so much, we booked the last room available for the inn on the second night and got a much larger King room for only $10 more. The room was gorgeous, with huge bay windows, at night you could gently hear the waterfall - a lovely natural sound machine. The rooms feel private and you can’t hear your neighbors. There is elevator access to the 3 floors in the main inn where we stayed. The hotel feels so comfortable - and we took full advantage of the amenities. They have house-made granola available, stocked pantry fridges for all guests, cookies and homemade ice cream nightly. My husband liked the gym space and the pool as perfect for a quick dip. It’s safe, clean and nicely fenced in. I have never slept so comfortably in a hotel bed before at Wentworth’s. I also took advantage of the clawfoot tub in the King master bath. What a treat. The shampoo/conditioner/body soap are heavenly and sourced from the U.K. They also have large plasma swivel TV’s and we watched Wimbledon from bed. What a dream. In the evening there was live music down in the Alpine bar. That was fantastic. We played corn hole at night under the string lights and had the whole space to ourselves. We will be back and found our new happy space up in the White Mountains. Things we did nearby: Dinner at the Red Fox Bar & Grille - amazing! Hike at Arethusa Falls - hard and fun! Breakfast at The Sunrise Shack (life hack, order the $7 option - and make your own little breakfast sandwich) filling enough to last all day. The only thing I would suggest improving slightly: Be able to lower room temps below 68-degrees during summer to combat humidity Quicker service behind the bar More towels in bathroom

Stayed here in February to go cross country skiing. We had some type of package that included breakfast and dinner and I wanted a hot tub so we chose the Amster Cottage which can only be booked from their website. I had found this hotel on hotels.com but the only way to be guaranteed Amster Cottage, again, is to book from their website or calling. Amster Cottage is literally the closest building to Jackson Ski Touring Foundation and you can actually ski in ski out from your back door. There is a hot tub outside in the courtyard only available to the 4 units in the building. We used it every night and never saw anyone else out there. Now of course it was cold walking out there but very refreshing. Our suite was large and a little chilly but with the fireplace and space heaters, it was perfect. The hot water did take about 5 minutes to get warm though. There were plenty of towels and the bed was super comfortable. Beautiful old property. We booked dinner over a month in advance which is very hard for a spontaneous person like me to do. I have no idea if I'm going to be hungry at 6:15 on a Sunday evening 30 days out. Lol But it worked out fine. Like I said, dinner was included in our room but gratuity and alcohol are not included. The first night we ate there, we were informed dinner was a 4 course meal: 2 appetizers, an entrée and a dessert. With one cocktail each, our bill at the end for the cocktails and tip was $60. That being said, the service and food were both excellent. However, 4 courses was way too much food for me. I was good with 1 appetizer and an entrée. But I enjoyed trying all kinds of different items over my stay. I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage through the hotel. My therapist was sweet but there was nothing deep about it. The property is beautiful and it's a lovely place to stay in Jackson. Head to Autumn Nomad Cafe for coffee and lunch, it's within walking distance and amazing. I also highly recommend snowmobiling with Northern Extremes and doing a horse drawn carriage ride with Nestlenook Farm. And make a trip to North Conway too!

Our wedding (July 2024) at The Wentworth Inn was nothing short of magical, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the mountains. The venue itself was meticulously maintained, with freshly done landscaping and vibrant flowers that added to the charm of our special weekend. The Inn offered a variety of activities for us and our guests to enjoy during their free time, including a pool, golf, bikes, fitness center, massages, and more. Whether it was a relaxing afternoon at Jackson Falls or exploring the nearby amenities, there was something for everyone. The newly renovated Alpine Lodge bar provided the perfect setting for our welcome party, cocktail hour, and after-party. It was spacious with plenty of seating areas and a unique decor that transported us to a cozy mountainside ski lodge. The staff at The Wentworth Inn went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend unforgettable. From the bartenders who kept our glasses full to the front desk and cleaning staff who were always friendly and helpful, we received countless compliments from our guests about how wonderful everyone was. A special mention goes to our main point of contact, Cita, who was a true gem throughout the entire planning process. She was incredibly organized, responsive, and transparent, ensuring everything went smoothly from the day we toured the venue to our big day. She made us feel like we were the only couple she was working with and made us feel so special. The food during the cocktail hour and dinner was phenomenal, and the added touch of snack pantries on each floor was much appreciated by our guests. If you're looking for an incredible wedding venue that offers an amazing experience, I highly recommend The Wentworth Inn.

We've been coming to the Wentworth for over 20 years so we've seen a lot of changes both good and bad. 20 years ago, a stay included hot breakfast and a buffet that had fresh fruit, muffins, juice, cereal, etc. and a 5 course dinner. Over the years, the 5 course dinner became 4 courses then 3 courses. Five courses was a lot of food so we didn't mind the number of courses being decreased but the food quality declined as well. Covid hit and really hurt this business and it was sold to a hospitality company a few years ago. With the sale, changes came both good and bad. I'll try to detail them as much as possible.||I'm happy to say that in our recent 2025 visit, the food quality has improved and the meals were fantastic. If you get the meal package, you get a full hot breakfast with your choice of sides and a 4 course dinner, which includes 2 starters, a main course and dessert. We were very happy with the food quality. Service was a little slow but the waiters were fantastic. They no longer serve breakfast out on the patio, which was a bit of a disappointment but I understand because it's hard to find enough wait staff to offer service both inside and out. Also, you could order a bag lunch in the past and pick it up at the front desk but that service is no longer available but there is a deli right next door called J-Town Deli that is very good if you are looking for lunch.||The room decor has changed a lot. It's not exactly our taste but it's a clean, modern design. Some amenities have been removed like the desk, Kurig and coffee table. While this makes the room look more spacious, it is less usable. My wife liked putting her makeup on at the desk and we liked the coffee table for sitting and having apps and a beverage. We were looking for a place to charge phones and all the wall outlets near the bed were used but then we discovered that the nightstands had outlets built-in, which was fabulous! They are easy to miss because the furniture is dark as are the outlets but they are there so be sure you don't miss them. While the bedroom furniture has all been replaced, the bathroom definitely needs a refresh. There are broken tiles in the bathroom near the whirlpool tub, paint is chipping on the walls, the fixtures are getting old and don't match the new decor of the room. Lighting was dim overall, although the nightstands had nice bright lights on the wall above them. Bathroom lighting was plentiful but the lights at the the sink and mirror were dim in my opinion. Hopefully, the room is a work in progress and this will improve over time.||The pool area is very nice and new lounge chairs, tables and upright chairs were installed during our stay. The new lounge chairs aren't as nice as those they replaced but they are mesh so they don't hold water like a sponge as the old cushions did. Their are chairs and small tables all around the farmers porches but they aren't kept clean. The grounds people should pressure wash them regularly as dirt and pollen get all stuck in the mesh and it gets on your clothes. We had to wash the rockers and tables before we used them.||The lobby now features a very nice bar area. While we didn't make use of that during our stay, it was available and seemed popular.||The hotel and cottages have several "pantries" installed where you can get snacks and beverages throughout the day. There were fresh muffins in the morning as well as granola. At lunch there were bags of chips. In the evening, there were cookies. The fridge was stocked all day with juice, soda, seltzer and yogurt. The freezer had an assortment of single serving ice cream and gelato. In the past, they had home made ice cream in the freezer but we didn't see any during our stay. All the ice cream was gelato from a vendor in Massachusetts. That's not to say it wasn't good; it was but it wasn't as good as their home made ice cream.||Overall, we had a very nice experience and we will stay there again. I hope the hotel continues to make...

We've stayed at this end several times and have always enjoyed it. The rooms are very comfortable showers are great beds are great. The food is good it certainly could be better I kind of wish they would update the menu and offer more items. We've been here several times and basically the menu never changes I had the prime rib which was considerably more fatty than usual. Normally it's one of the choices I frequently do not take simply because I know it's pretty fatty but this time it was definitely fatty. They usually offer top butt which is similar to a sirloin but you know guys a couple of different things you can try. One is kick it up a notch and do a tenderloin. The other thing you can do is Tri-Tip. It has some of the tenderloin texture but not all of it. It's a reasonably good cut of meat and not overly expensive, also try doing a little more fish. Richard had the Porterhouse pork. Unfortunately it definitely had a gamey flavor to it which is somewhat unusual for pork. Now we're both in the food industry. We're most definitely not what you'd refer to as meat and potatoes sort of people. So Chef Gazda do us a favor! Kick it up a couple notches! The last time we were here we ate both here as well as up at the Inn at Thorn Hill. The Thornhill did something a little different obviously had that fire some time ago that pretty much wrecked the kitchen and I think they lost their chef in the process. Not in the fire mind you I think he left. I ordered the tenderloin up there which I've had before which is normally very good this time it was pretty obvious what they did. It was pre-portion bought from a vendor such as Sysco or US Foods. It was already pre-grill marked. You can purchase it this way and it saves a little bit of time. Problem was that they cooked it thoroughly through and through. I had a couple of bites and then immediately sent it back. They actually insisted on bringing another piece even though at this point I was pretty much done with my appetite. Pretty obviously did not want to comp the meal that was straight up. The second time the piece came out looked exactly like the first one right down to the exact size. That's one way how I can tell this is pre portioned. It came out medium rare but unfortunately it also came out like the first one which was really mushy, meaning it had been thawed, frozen, thawed and cooked. I certainly don't want to see the Wentworth going that way. Dessert was good I always come here & get the Calabout brownie Sundae. Other than that it was like I said an...

Disappointing. This place is overly-hyped, outdated, and doesn’t live up to the things claimed on its website. The entrance is underwhelming. There is no covered area to drive up to for check in. The signage is terrible. There is no clear front desk. Instead, they have a couple of office desks sitting in the lobby with nothing telling you that’s where you check in. There is no concierge service. No one to help you with luggage. No good loading and unloading zone. There is no sundry shop for you to purchase essentials or snacks. There is no room service and there is no place to eat on the property before 4 p.m. The front desk clerk messed up several times. She asked if I wanted to place the remainder of our 4 night stay on the card on file and I said yes. She said it wouldn’t go through so I asked what card number it was and she told me it ended in a number that none of my cards end in. She gave us the wrong room number which we discovered when our key wouldn’t open the door to our room. We asked for turn down service on our second day. When we came back to the room in the evening, no one came to the room so we had to call again. None of the exercise machines in the fitness center had power cords the first day I went in there, and only the treadmills had power cords the second day, but one of the two treadmills is broken. The breakfast is good and I especially like their hash. They advertise a breakfast buffet on the weekends. On Saturday I asked where the buffet was and the server explained the continental breakfast to me. I clarified that I’m asking about the buffet advertised on the menu with eggs, breakfast meats, and everything else. She said “well we don’t really have a buffet but our menu is like a buffet because you can order as much of anything you want from it.” I said that’s very misleading calling it a self-serve buffet then. She apologized and said it can be very confusing. On Sunday, I went down for breakfast, and there was a self-serve buffet just like what I expected and what was described in the menu. What the hell? Why did the server on Saturday make up some story and make me feel stupid and crazy? The room was nice but not has spacious or fancy as I expected. The personal hot tub on the private balcony was great except it faced the parking lot. The best thing about this place was the little pantries they have on each floor with a few snacks and drinks, but it seems like they rely too heavily on that feature. I will never...
