Our evening at Alpine Tavern at the Wentworth was a delightful experience. The service was impeccable, and the snow-covered scenery provided a picturesque backdrop for our dinner.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the cheese fondue, accompanied by perfectly crafted bread. The flavors were excellent, and the dish lived up to our expectations. However, the disappointment arose from the limited options – it was essentially cheese and bread, lacking the nutritional balance one might expect for a complete dinner.

It would be beneficial if Alpine Tavern could consider expanding the fondue offerings to include options for adding vegetables and protein. This addition would align more with the traditional fondue experiences found in other dinner establishments in the states.

This is a cozy spot for a drink, snack or meal after a day on the mountain or exploring the area. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. We came twice on a recent stay one time for a meal and again for drinks. The cocktails are tasty and well balanced with good flavor profiles. The fondue for two is an authentic Swiss-style fondue with the perfect cheese to bread ratio, it could only be more perfect with a shot of kirsch. My husband and I just spent 4 nights at The Wentworth and 3 of those nights we spent eating and drinking at The Alpine as it is just AMAZING!! Dylan is a phenomenal bartender—we enjoyed quite a few old fashioneds this week!—and Dan was a fantastic server! The Alpine’s burger is out of this world—best burger we’ve ever had—and we had it twice apres ski! The chicken fritters and Mediterranean mezze plate are also MUST HAVES!
