This was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed and it didn't feel like a hotel or B&B, it felt a new home for a few days. Immaculate! We stayed in Apt A, absolutely beautiful and cozy. The kitchen was sufficient stocked with kitchenwares and basic supplies (coffee, tea, sugar, some spices, detergent). We had a little confusion figuring out the tv, but we're old. The bed was comfortable, the shower had nice pressure. The deck was nice to sit out and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. There are so many interesting things about the property to check out and enjoy, including the beautiful pergola over the fabulous wall with the flower pots by the parking spaces. There's some interesting trails and common are sitting areas to be found, though it's a bit of a work out! I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue. It's walking distance to so much in town, just down the road from the old jail. We never heard the other "tenants" so the apartments are quite private with many having their own private decks. I hope to return in the future! Prior to our visit, Jeffrey sent informative emails not just about check in and accommodations, but about local places of interest and restaurants. I did not meet Jeffrey as we were out and about much of the time, but we ran into Chad a few times. Oh! And the...

Read moreMy husband and I spent a long weekend at Highstreet Guest House, Apt D, 9/27-29 and loved everything about it. The location is perfect and in walking distance of just about everything. The apartment is so, so cozy and had the perfect vibe for a fall weekend in Jim Thorpe. Small touches were everywhere, from the heated floor and steam shower in the bathroom, to the string lights both inside and outside, the collection of 45 records and record player, the little fairy hanging on the string lights outside, full stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and the decor was just our style with great artwork throughout the place. The outside deck area is great with a nice view, chimenea, and seating. There was even a little book where you could write a note about your stay. Prior to our trip, Jeffrey emailed us info on things to do and places to eat, and how far they were, if you could walk, had to drive, etc. Check in was super simple and while early check in isn't promised, we were able to get in a few hours prior to 3 PM.
Again, we just loved it and would definitely consider staying in this exact...
