Driving around, my boyfriend and I accompanied by a friend of his, were looking for a place to stop in Jim Thorpe for a simple cup of coffee. We were drawn in by the neon "Coffee" sign hanging here, and we went in.
Upon entering, the shop had this unique and memorable atmosphere. Decorated with striking visuals and history of the old town that made it seem more than just a coffee shop.
And it was.
There was so much more than just locally made coffee and coffee beans on the menu, there was also freshly made ice cream of all interesting sorts spread out to choose from. All crafted especially for the shop itself, by a man in the business of making it. Ice cream no more than a week or two old from a local source.
Treats from Italy, milkshakes of all kinds (from any of the ice creams I mentioned earlier), baked goods, and an owner that really seems to know what he's talking about, as he struck up casual conversation with us while creating a supreme drink for my boyfriend.
Fabulous place. Awesome owner. Really something different to do when you're looking for an adventure.
Thanks for the experience, Curiosities! š
P.S. Try the caramel and chocolate lava cake,...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen here twice, once on a busy weekend and second on a weekday. The previous day we got affocado which was good, but the second day we ordered two mocha lattes. When we got them, there was absolutely no coffee at all, they just tasted like hot chocolate. At first, I thought it was just mine, but my partnerās didnāt have any coffee as well. I brought it up and the girl there said there were 2 shots of espresso in each. I pressed a little further, but she insisted there was coffee in our drinks. I gave up and just drank the rest of my hot chocolate, but Iām honestly disappointed. I really needed some coffee and now Iāll have to get some more somewhere else :( the vibe...
