Our stay at The Y on Broadway in Jim Thorpe, PA was phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly. We showed up early just to see if we could park in the lot, but they surprised us by letting us check in right away.
The lobby is stocked with thoughtful amenities for every occasion—a microwave, coffee and tea station, and a cozy common area perfect for relaxing or visiting with friends. They even have a bar, and our stay came with two complimentary drink tickets, which was such a nice touch.
We stayed in the Rustic Room on the second floor, and the theming was absolutely superb. The exposed brick and wooden beams gave it so much character, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Honestly, I haven’t stayed in a cleaner room—even compared to some “luxury” resorts. It was absolutely perfect.
Though we only stayed for one night, I wish I had planned for more. Jim Thorpe has so much to offer—train rides, whitewater rafting, bars, restaurants, shopping, bike rentals, ice cream, and endless exploring. The Y on Broadway provides a continental breakfast, the rates are very affordable, and the experience is worth every penny.
I’m already planning to return in the fall and again at Christmas—and without question, I’ll be booking The Y on...
Read moreExcellent stay at the new Y on Broadway. The best things are LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Park your car in their lot and walk to everything. We enjoyed Winter fest, ate at Marion Hose (twice), Myst and Mollys. Late night drinks directly across the street from the hotel at Ouros - loved all of these! Easy walk to the opera house for a show. We brought two kids aged 12 and 16. We were comfortable in the double queen room and were mesmerized by the views from the hotel! Slight issues staying connected to wifi and the kids didn't love the barn door on the bathroom. But these were just little things- we were super busy outside of the hotel. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights but needed more time on Sunday because we had train tickets. We were told we did need to leave the parking lot at 11 due to back to back reservations. So, early morning we just pulled the car directly outside the front of the hotel and paid for street parking. Just make sure you get out there early! The coffee was tasty, bagels good too. Kids preferred walking over to Donerds for donuts- super close. We would absolutely return to this hotel. Well done!! Edit-My photos show the view from the third floor window from the rear...
Read moreWe just stayed at the Y on Broadway (5/22-23/2025) for a quick anniversary getaway. The location was amazingly central for everything in historic Jim Thorpe. We did the Lehigh railway train ride, tastings at Wild Elder Wine & Cider, Nomad Distilling, and Stonekeep Meadery, dinner at Marion Hose, dessert/snacks/drinks at Broadway Grille and Molly McGuires, and breakfast at Donerds donuts & Butterbrew lattes from Muggles mug. ALL easily walkable from the hotel! Even in the rain the town was enjoyable and beautiful to explore for one night and we were easily able to stop by our room/car (free and easy parking for one car at the hotel from 4pm to 11am) throughout the evening as needed. Booking direct through their website gave us drink coupons for a free wine or beer at the hotel bar, and a small continental breakfast (coffee, tea, bagels, waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal) was available in the morning. The rooms were stunning! We were not expecting them to be so beautiful and it was the most comfortable hotel bed we've ever slept in (and we travel a lot!). All of the staff we encountered was beyond helpful and friendly. HIGHLY recommend for anyone...
