Stopped here to try some donuts while in the area on a vacation. Service was excellent, variety was excellent, and the cafe space is cute.
I picked up a cannoli, cookies and cream, pistachio and raspberry, and a maple Nutella donut.
The cannoli filling donut didn't hit the mark. It tasted like someone had heard of cannoli, and tried to make it without ever having it. It was close, but off the mark. It lacked richness that cannoli I've had have.
Cookies and cream has excellent filling, but it's a stingy fill and the rest of the donut is mediocre. Photo included.
Nutella and maple one was also stingy on the filling, and it didn't taste heavily like Nutella. The maple was strong, but the Nutella tasted more like it was a knock off that was used.
The pistachio and raspberry lacked in pistachio flavor, but the raspberry was nice. Again, stingy filling. Photo included. I cut in half and my side barely had filling.
The donuts look nice, but there's something flawed with the donut itself that the wacky toppings can't mask. I'm not a baker so I can't say where the baker went wrong, but the donut itself doesn't have much flavor, and honestly it tasted like they were probably a day away from being tossed. They weren't very fresh.
Pricing is boutique, but the taste certainly isn't.
I could probably excuse a mediocre donut if the toppings were abundant and the filling was also, but neither of that is true. They look a lot nicer...
Read moreWell lets just say the four and a half hour donut run was well worth it. But perhaps I should explain further. I was on a trip across Pennsylvania and I was looking for something to take back home to my wife. After looking around at several places I found Donerds Donuts in Jim Thorpe and decided that would be the perfect thing to take home to her. So I picked up a mixed dozen and made the long drive back home to her. It was a win for sure as these may be the best donuts we have ever had in our lives. First...lets talk about filling. You know how most donuts have a tiny little squirt of filling in the center. Not Donerds donuts. When the nice lady behind the counter handed me my box I was first surprised by how heavy it was. And on eating my first one, several hours later, it was packed full of goodness. Not a bite was taken that didn't have a delicious amount of filling in it. They looked good, they taster even better and I'm already a bit sad that it will be awhile before I get back out there. As I got take out I didn't sit in their dining area, but it looked rather comfortable and spacious. I can say that the customer service I received was excellent as I placed my order until the box was handed to me. So if you're in the Jim Thorpe are I highly recommend stopping at Donerds Donuts...and if you happen to be driving back through the Pittsburg area, feel free to bring one...

This place is a science-themed sugar wonderland and I am officially a loyal lab rat. From the minute I walked in, I was hit with the smell of fresh donuts and the vibes of a cartoon chemistry lab — goggles, beakers, and all!
I tried the Strawberry Shortcake donut and OMG — it’s basically dessert royalty. Fresh strawberries, real whipped cream, and a fluffy donut that makes every bite worth the calories. The Homer donut (hello, pink glaze + sprinkles) was a nostalgic dream, and the Dubai Pistachio? Fancy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
The drink menu is just as fun — I went with a caramel French toast latte and added a flavor shot for good measure. They even have CBD infusions if you’re feeling extra chill.
The staff were super sweet, the displays are gorgeous, and even the croissants looked amazing (pro tip: get there early before they sell out!).
This place isn’t just a donut shop — it’s a whole experience. Go for the donuts, stay for the science, and definitely take pictures of everything.
🧁 11/10 would recommend. Can’t wait to come back...
