We have been visiting this place a least twice a year, enjoying its vibe and food. Today we invited our friends (first time for them), advertising how great the place was. We spent almost two hours in line. The food was great, the server (don’t remember his name, but he was from Venezuela) was great. We had kids, and they were a bit noisy at times like all kids are, and after they ate their dinner they played outside the patio at the public area for most of the time. One kid climbed the tree, but after the warning they stopped and played quietly with rocks. One couple came to our table to express how well-behaved our kids were… apparently, some guests were annoyed and complained to the management. The management did not come to talk to us to warn us right away. Instead, they waited till the check ($200+) was paid. Then the manager came out to let us know how disrespectful and disgusting our kids were to the property (!) outside the patio, and to my question what exactly they had done, she could not answer except for pointing at the tree, she took away our unfinished drinks (which we paid for) and told us that we had to leave, and if we didn’t follow her order she would call a police. We were packing up getting ready to leave, and she came out again with the security guy yelling at us to leave. So we were literally kicked out of the restaurant. I admit that at the beginning the kids were a bit noisy, they were hungry, and we had been waiting for their chicken nuggets and french fries for about an hour (I get it, it was busy, but they are kids after all), but after they ate their dinner, they were really well behaved. If that was the case that annoyed the other customers, could the management have approached us in respectful manner and notify us asap? Read moreWe were visiting this town for the very first time. Saw this restaurant, looked at the menu at the hostess stand, looked good enough. There was no one at the stand so we crossed a small outdoor courtyard and went inside. There was one high top table empty, all other tables had guests but no one else was waiting or standing. The staff member told us to give them a few minutes to clear off the empty table but that we had to wait outside because it was so “busy”. Literally there was no one else standing. My husband asked if it was ok to wait inside since it was chilly, and she said no. Ok, we went outside and started waiting in the courtyard by the front door. The courtyard had 1 family dinning. After about 10 minutes, another 2 groups approached the front door and we told them they kicked us out and just wait with us. Shortly after, another staff member came out and told us all to go outside of the gate where the hostess stand is and they will call us. My husband asked us why they were making such a big deal about where people waited to which the employee said “it’s the owner’s rule”. We found all of this very bizarre and we all crossed the courtyard again to went outside of their gated area. At that point, we felt that this restaurant really didn’t want our business so we told the other 2 groups that they are now first and we are out. We later got dinner at a different place and saw the same 2 groups at the same different restaurant. They told us they left as well after waiting another 15 minutes. Very strange place. Read moreOn September 15 around 3 pm, we decided to grab a bite to eat with my family and friends: the restaurant was not busy and there were 4-5 tables available in the balcony area. The hostess was a young woman who seemed annoyed, angry and with a questionable rudeness with a very sour attitude, tone and demeanor. When arriving at the restaurant, there were three people with their dogs who were waiting to be seated. It took the hostess 15 mins before she sat them down in the available areas. The whole place seemed to move at a snail pace, with waiters strolling and chatting, tables remained I cleaned and etc. When she sat the customer ahead of us, she went back inside and returned back about 5 mins later. When she came back, with the same demeanor, she looked at me and said she needs to check with kitchen before she sits us down, to which I replied respectfully. She disappeared for another 15 mins. In the meantime, my kids were hungry and impatient, when she came back and I inquired about the status of our wait, with the same attitude she indicated that she needs to go back and check with kitchen again!!!. At this point I got quite concerned, as it appeared neither the restaurant nor her were interested in our business and had the worse attitude and customer service. So we decided to leave after almost 30 mins wait in line and a restaurant that clearly had capacity to accept customers.
