I am dumbfounded by the experience I had last weekend with this place. I called to order some food to be delivered and wanted to pay with my credit card. I was told that the machine was down, so I said no big deal I’ll get cash. I asked for a total, and was told they’ll call me back with one, but never got a call. I placed my order at 3:37 pm. I called back at 4:50 pm to see what was going on with my order and spoke to someone who told me that he called me back with a total and told me it was going to take a long time because they were really busy. Neither one of those statements was true. He then gave me an attitude because I laughed at his previous statements and said “he’s about to leave with my order right now, and do I still want it?” I said no I don’t at this point I would call somewhere else. At 5:20 pm I heard a knock on my door, and it was them with my food an hour and 45 minutes later. I told him I told you on the phone to forget it, there is no way I want it after someone was that outright rude and ignorant to me after keeping me waiting all that time and lying about calling me back on top of it. I found out later that the person I was dealing with was the owner, of all people and he even went as far as going to the bar next door to complain about me, and made the bartender there pay for my order because he is friends with my son!!! Up to this point I was a regular customer, and I cannot believe the lack of professionalism displayed by the owner of a business. I am a very reasonable person, and have waited a long time for my food to arrive from here before, but never again. You lost a good customer, and if you treat people like you did me this way, you are going to lose many more. Stay away from this place, the food isn’t even that good. Go to Sappore...

We sat down and there were cob webs on the walls, there was a half alive bug on the plate when she handed it to me, i said nothing about that stuff. Before we even got our drinks the waitress (high tight bun) sat and gossiped with her friend while we sat there and watched. The weird atmosphere was made even stranger by netflix being open on the tv with nothing playing. When she came to our table to see if we were ready I said “No, but we’d like to order drinks” and she said “One minute” and went to take the drink order of the table next to us who had came in AFTER us. She then gave us our pizza and by that point our parking was running out so I asked for a box, my fault for not paying to park enough, just needed a box to go. She said “let me see what you eat first” and walked away. She came back to the table next to us and I asked for a box again, clarifying I needed to take the whole thing to go. She yelled at me (yes this woman actually tried to scold me) to calm down (i had to talk loudly because she was walking away again and it was loud from the 10 person family next to us), and that she would get me by box if I calmed down. Literally all I did was ask for food and drinks and to her that was just too much.

Don’t waste your time in Jim Thorpe here unless you want cob webs, bugs, and to get yelled at for...

1star only because I had to to leave a review. We had pizza there last week and decided to go back today pizza is good, customer service is horrific. We live locally and are also business owners so I know what a racquet credit card fees are so completely understandable to have a minimum purchase. I made a purchase of $16.36 and we were still hungry went in to get 2 more slices for my nephew and daughter. Total was $5.30 handed my credit card and was told there is an $8.00 minimum, I said I know I just spent almost $17.00 and now wish to spend $6.00 more and I was rudely told then but 2 slices and then you’ll meet the minimum. What don’t you understand $17.00 and an additional $6.00 is $23.00 so I definitely met the minimum. She refused and rudely stated gonget cash or buy more pizza. I left ofcourse. You just lost a customer.... your food can be delicious but if you don’t have the customer service your business is no business I will give my patronage to. As I stated we are business owners and know how much fees are to run a business I would never think to treat my customers this way nor would my staff!!!! Lesson learned and made me realize how lucky we are to have the staff we are that treats our customers...

A Hidden Gem in Jim Thorpe – Antonio’s Pizzeria is a Must-Visit! From the moment you walk into Antonio’s Pizzeria, you can feel the warmth and authenticity of a true small-town treasure. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Jim Thorpe, this place will leave a lasting impression. We ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and a margherita, and both were absolutely phenomenal—crispy yet chewy crust, rich tomato sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. You can taste the quality in every bite. The garlic knots were out of this world—fresh, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned. The staff is friendly, fast, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where they remember your name, treat you like family, and make you feel right at home. If you’re exploring the charming streets of Jim Thorpe, make sure Antonio’s is on your list. It’s everything a pizzeria should be—simple, honest, and delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

This was a solidly good Italian restaurant. They appeared to offer take out up front, and had a seating area in back, as well as a bar section. They did not have fountain drinks, only bottled and canned beverages, which I didnt know when ordering, since I wanted a glass of water and a Dr. Pepper, but ended up paying for both a can of Dr. Pepper and a bottle of water. My son had a cheesesteak which was really dry he said. I had a small stromboli and it was really good. We also had a large order of fries, but they were too undercooked and soggy for me, but maybe some people like them that way? Service was friendly and as quick as could be, considering the place was mobbed from some of the 850+ people who arrived at the same time on the special steam train. The bathroom wasn't the nicest, but it was clean enough for me.

My wife and I like to try local pizza places when we travel, and this is a great little pizza place. We ordered a medium (six slices) with mushrooms and extra cheese, because most places skimp on the cheese, but that's not the case with Antonio's! It was too much cheese, but hey, that is what I ordered! The crust is perfectly done with that little crunch with each bite. The sauce is seasoned well and has little tomato chunks, it is so fresh. We also ordered a house salad and it was loaded with sweet peppers, black olives, tomatoes, onion...see the photo. Total bill was $32 and it was worth every penny. This is where we're stopping after our hikes around Jim Thorpe. Highly recommend.
