Island House South Beach Hotel — Hotel in Miami Beach

Me and my friends stayed there for 3 nights in the deluxe suite- 3 rooms, 2 full size beds and 1 bunk bed. The place was clean but the bunk bed wasn’t secure, the bed moved a lot so my friend ended up taking the mattress and putting it on a roll out bed we found in the closet.

I had an issue where an expensive item ended up missing out of my room the only day house keeping came by to clean 🤔(yes they only came by the 1 day to clean and it was basically our last day). I went to talk to the person at the front desk as well as the cleaners( who didn’t speak English). They tried to help, the owner of the place wouldn’t even speak to me about the issue. A police report was filed but there weren’t any cameras or logs so it’s not much that could of been done.

Anyways the front desk clerk felt bad and he helped me out a lot. I can’t remeber his name but if you happen to come across this THANK YOU AGAIN.

The hotel is located in a good spot, close to everything. The staff was friendly but of course anyone would be upset if something is missing from their room and I didn’t like how the owner handled it all. He wouldn’t speak to me at all. Left a bad impression, I wouldn’t stay...

Please don't read the bad reviews and take it on board, when we pulled up to the hotel sure we were a little disappointed, the hotel is dated and is located in a very busy area of Miami, but then Miami is busy.||We found the hotel manager (never got his name) extremely helpful he couldn't do more for us. Beach Towels and beach games were available for the kids to use. Breakfast is limited choice but all there and available. Our bedroom was super comfortable and everything was very clean even if it was outdated. Sure the hotel could do with an upgrade and the corridors do smell musty, but our beds were clean and the kitchenette was clean, the bathroom needs an upgrade but the shower was great! it is in quite a noisy area however, this is Miami people everywhere is noisy! but is very centrally located and the manager does the very best he can with what he has, he works tirelessly to assist his residents.||If you are looking for somewhere on a budget, central and clean within easy reach of restaurants and beach then this will...

The structure may not meet expectations as it is a bit old but when traveling these are elements not to be considered (at least for me) if you stay there for a few days. As I said, the structure is a bit dated like the rooms and the bathroom but my wife and I enjoyed it all the same, the beds were comfortable and the cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast is served at the reception with packaged products, coffee and hot water for tea and it was fine for us, if you expect to receive a 5-star hotel breakfast then book elsewhere. The location is fabulous, not even 300 meters away you are on the beach and on Ocean Drive and that is already a lot.
