Nornally, i wait for the email asking me to rate my visit. For some reason, i didn't get one, so I'm using this forum. Not up to normal Bluegreen Standards. ||Let's start with arrival. There IS a designated spot for unloading, but you don't know that until you get out of your car. Signage is very small, and really only visible when you pull into the OTHER adjacent resorts parking lots. And parking is in a nearby parking garage.||The beach is nice, the boardwalk area is nice, but there is also a homeless/panhandle population close by, even sleeping on the benches on the boardwalk. Kind of unnerving. ||Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, but nothing particularly budget friendly. Every meal we ate was a minimum of $80, excluding alcohol. We did not go out for breakfast.||The room setup, at least the kitchen and living room, were okay...though the small TV was parcukarly placed. Probably because it was the only place it fit.||The Bedroom/Bathroom was another story. I think the bed fa's a Full. It was rather uncomfortable. Too firm. The door from the bedroom to the bathroom might as well be eliminated, or changed to a sliding door because there is hardly anywhere for it to swing to.||The bathroom, well, the towel rack is impossible to reach from the shower.||The guest services was AWFUL.|We made TWO different requests. One was completely ignored. They do have umbrellas and beach chairs available, but only AFTER you have done an Owner Review. We TRY hard to not do these, because despite their claim that these are NOT sakes pitches, they are. And the "1 hour review" took 2 hours and 16 minutes. I used a stopwatch! If it was just a review, they wouldn't have asked me to spent $48000-$95000 more dollars to upgrade my current ownership. You don't NEED to be a Bluegreen Owner to use Bluegreen properties. Prior to the review, I found 4 of their resorts renting out availability on Travelocity, and I showed it to them. I also asked how much Bluegreen spends to sponsor Nascar, and since I am a 20 year owner, I think I should be privy to that information. I can't find it, and neither could they.||Oh. Back to guest Services. On Tuesday, we informed the front desk that the shampoo and conditioner bottles in our shower were empty. On Wednesday, we asked about it again. On Thursday, it still wasn't done. We asked again. Then, on Friday we brought the lack of service up at our Owner Review. Our review ended at 1:16 PM. We went to the room, and changed for lunch and the beach. We returned at 5:30. Sometime between 1:30 and 5:30, Friday, it FINALLY got changed, but the person who did it left our door open. Imagine had anything of value been missing. They didn't seem particularly worried that a staff member left an OWNER'S room unsecured.||Finally, there is only a tiny indoor pool, though you are allowed to use the outdoor pools at the resorts on either side.||I would have given it one star, but I liked the proximity to the beach and...

Extended Review 7 day Day 1 Check in was easy and staff was friendly. Room 1/1 is small but will do. Refrigerator looks like it's been punched multiple times but works great. No hot water for shower maybe day 2 will be better. Day 2 Woke up and went to make coffee on the nice Cuisinart they have in the room. Had to clean for about about 10 minutes as the inside drip strainer had never been cleaned, it looked like. Then the one coffee bag they give us had a rip in it. Called front desk to ask for a replacement they explain to me I had to come down to get it so now I have to get dressed to go down to get a coffee bag to put in a coffee maker that I cleaned. Hot water for 10 minutes then ice cold, 2nd person had to take a cold shower. Turns out they only have a 30 gal hot water heater. Which means 1 quick shower per person every 30 to 40 minutes. Water efficient shower heads could extend hot water time to around 16 minutes. So far not feeling like vacation, but I still have 5 more days. Day 3 The beach was super clean and nice. The indoor pool although it's small was nice. Day 4 Not getting much sleep. I'm on the 7th floor and you can hear all the road noise. I mean all the noise, down to people talking loud. For triple pane windows they're not really good insulators or sound barriers. Construction noise a couple levels above us hasn't been terrible. Needs a good remodel. Heat does not work well, had to use the oven to heat the unit. Day 5 Woke up at 4am as the road cleaning trucks where outside. The shops are a couple steps away from the resort, so that's convenient! Staff is still great aswell. Day 6 Boardwalk outdoor shops is great! Cookout has great burgers for $3 Day 7 Laundry is free and they provide you with detergent. Handicap parking is very limited and if your not luck enough to get the 3 spaces you might have to park across the street or a block away in the parking garage. Woke up to make coffee and both bags were ripped, it must be a sign not to come back.

Summary

I like that all the shops and restaurants you would want including Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, fast food, and diners are a short walk away. The beach is great and I love the great boardwalk. Staff is great and although small the indoor pool is nice. The room needs remodeling, hot water is a problem and the road noise is crazy. That being said if you get a room facing the ocean that is remodeled higher level, I think it's a great option. If not you may want to look elsewhere.

Update changing from three stars to 4 because the maintenance guy was very friendly and I was even able to go to the showroom on the 20th floor and see the beautiful ocean view! Still a 3 star place but because of his hospitality they get...

Stayed here for the first time mid July and everything was great. The rooms are perfect for a couple or a couple and small child, like we had. Located right on the beach with beautiful views and conveniently located walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops. Myrtle Beach was under a heat advisory the whole time and our room still stayed plenty cool. There’s a small indoor pool and hot tub, but you have access to the two outdoor pools at the neighboring Yachtsman facility on either side as well. The only suggestion I have is to put a gate next to the public beach access near the back of the building because we waited behind an entire family rinsing off their kids and washing their hair and everything in the outdoor shower only to find out they weren’t even staying there. Security came out after about ten minutes of us waiting and shoo’ed them off but I feel like a gate and sign stating private property might prevent that. Also, the outdoor shower/feet wash area needs cleaned up a little, I saw some of the same trash and someones old soggy shirt there every night we stayed. Regardless, the staff were friendly, nice and helpful and the room was clean! Also, the parking deck is just a block away, and free to park, and we felt our vehicle was secure there.

Beautiful resort with floor to ceiling windows if your lucky enough to get the oceanfront view. It’s a beautiful view on both sides looking out and at the ocean as the sun comes up, You are able to utilize the two resorts on each side for all amenities such as the pools, hot tubs , snack bar or when they have an ice cream social. They just need to enforce chair reserving . At 8 am . I watched as 12 chairs were reserved with towels and the people left . Check in was quick although the lady promised to call us when room was ready , she never did and we found out our room had been ready earlier. We had tried to get checked in before a big storm so we didn’t get our belongings wet . They Audi did not activate our room keys properly , they stopped working after the first day as they only activated for one night instead of 2. There are plenty of washers and dryers to use so you don’t go home with dirty clothes , laundry soap is provided. There is a pier and restaurant behind the property , nothing special , typical pier food . Drinks were watered down. Not part of the resort . Definitely our favorite Bluegreen Resort . No pressure to attend a review . Asked once , politely said no and never bothered again .
