RUN. My family of six lost nearly $2,000 from our 2025 vacation due to their unethical and immoral practices. While I have spoken to legal counsel, the Myrtle Beach Police Department, and the magistrate (all of whom confirm I have a valid legal case), the greater truth is this: businesses that operate like this will eventually fail because deceit always has a higher cost. “Manager Angie “ begging for 5 star reviews was the first red flag as I came in to personally cancel the reservation that had booked just 20 minutes prior.
We were verbally assured, in person by “manager Angie “ while on the phone with the owner “Ray” that a full refund would be processed due to an unavoidable family emergency. Their deceiving lies in person led to 2 months of me battling for my hard earned money. Instead, the resort kept nearly $2,000 for a stay that never happened, despite their own acknowledgment that no services were rendered and cancellation in person and in writing via text and email- all SC laws with felony and civil repercussions.
To make matters worse, records appear to have been altered by “Mary” with an email falsifying records to justify the charge. Looking further into ownership and filed for bankruptcy—hardly surprising given how they treat paying customers, the hard working American class just trying to make a vacation. It’s disgusting to think one can sleep knowing they STOLE from a family that was honest.
The photos online are extremely misleading and do NOT reflect the reality of the property- AT ALL.
As someone who has spent over two decades in the hospitality industry, I have never seen such blatant disregard for honest, hardworking customers. The lack of integrity, compassion, and professionalism is disgusting.
Staying here not only supports a business that fraudulently takes advantage of hardworking families, but puts your entire vacation - Time, energy, financials in the hands of deceitful lying business owners. Pay the extra $100-200 and go right down the road where you can find and value honesty, fairness, and respect. This company will be the fall of itself from of the lack of humane principalities and wisdom of how to actually run a business and cherish a...
Read moreOur family had one of the most disappointing and fraudulent experiences with this property- and quite frankly pure disgusting to take from hardworking American's trying to finally have a vacation. My family of six lost $1,934 from our 2025 vacation due to their unethical practices.
While I have spoken to legal counsel, the Myrtle Beach Police Department, and the magistrate, Under South Carolina Codes § 39-5-20 and 16-13-240 (“Obtaining signature or property by false pretenses with intent to defraud), confirm I have a valid legal case, the greater truth is this: businesses that operate like this will eventually fail because deceit always has a higher cost than any refund.
We NEVER stayed here (THANK GOD), never signed paperwork, never received keys, and even declined alternate accommodations offered. We were verbally assured by staff, Angie, while standing in the lobby with her that a full refund would be processed due to an unavoidable family emergency. Instead, the resort kept $1,934 for an entire 4 night stay that NEVER happened, despite their own acknowledgment that no services were rendered.
To make matters worse, records appear to have been altered to justify the charge by "Mary" when all text, email, phone calls, 3rd party inquiries requested refunds for the rightful cancelation for this illegal behavior was all documented. A past bankruptcy of the owners is hardly surprising given how they treat paying customers and the everyday hardworking American.
The photos online are extremely misleading and do not reflect the reality of the property's current conditions AT ALL. Such blatant disregard for honest, hardworking customers and the lack of integrity, compassion, and professionalism is appalling that there is any ownership for someone who clearly doesn't understand laws of SC, buisness or decency for honesty.
Staying here supports a business that takes advantage of hardworking families and puts a risk on your own financials and information. If you value honesty, fairness, and respect, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere- that is WELL WORTH a little...
Read moreThe building was recently renovated according to the listing, but you can't tell if it actually was.
First thing I noticed in terms of "renovation" was that the toilet was running when I arrived. It must've been leaking somehow as it would start and stop running water a few times per hour.
Second thing I noticed in terms of "renovation" was that there was a sign above the thermostat urging guests to keep the set temperature between 72°F to 78°F or else the A/C would freeze. That's completely ridiculous and honestly just sounds like a lame way of cutting costs at the guests' expense. Not that it matters anyway... The A/C didn't work at all (even within their temperature range). There was only a negligible draft of room temperature air from the vents and the sound of what was presumably the fan running.
Last thing I noticed in terms of "renovation" were the electrical receptacles. Not only do they look old, but they are old. The connection was very loose, resulting in some things coming unplugged. It's not only inconvenient, but also a fire hazard (though it's unlikely).
Even after looking past that, the room was dirty. The beds were made and seemed clean, as well as the towels. Upon taking off our shoes, our socks became very dirty in under an hour from walking around in the room. The floors we obviously dirty and appeared to be completely skipped over.
The guy at the at the service desk could understood and spoke very little English and no French (the only two languages I speak). This made communication very difficult in an already frustrating situation.
The view of the beach was very nice, the room was spacious, and it's definitely not the worst place I've stayed. For the price we paid, it was easily...
