Food was fantastic! We enjoyed the chicken picatta with a wonderful creamy and slightly citrusy sauce and crab meat and mushroom ravioli that tasted home made. Pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked, sauces were ample and savory, chicken was juicy, presentation was impeccable 👌 We came in about 40 minutes to close and sat at the bar. Upon entering i asked the hostess if they were still seating, and she directed us towards the bar area, telling us that it was open seating. Lighting was very, very dim, the bar top was pretty gross and needed a wipe down. We would've opted for a high top or regular table but it seemed like since we came in closer to the end of the night that staff wanted us on the bar area. The bartender was very curt and seemed just over it. Maybe she had a bad night? I can't imagine working that close to downtown Nashville on a Friday would be an easy shift. Regardless, we wanted to have a late dinner after a very long day. We're in town on business and had a hard time trying to find a place that was open near us and not overwhelmed with the party crowd. I asked the bartender what chardonnays were available and I got a very abrupt and hard to understand run down of what I thought was 2 house chards. Lol. So I just asked for a menu and see that there was only two available. We went ahead and ordered a salad, 2 entrees, and a dessert (Tiramusu to go) all at once so we could eat and just get out of her hair. 😬 After a few sips of my wine, I saw something floating in it and I thought maybe food handing landing in the glass. It ended up being a chunk of cork. No big deal, it happens. Let the bartender know in case there was more in that bottle. Picked it out and told her there was no need for a new glass but she snapped it away and tossed it in the sink. Just more aggitated and it at this point it's amping up my anxiety and i just wanted to leave. She poured me a new glass andsaid something about the house wines having bad corks. It was not the experience I wanted to end a long day with but grateful the food was good. Won't be back on any future trips for dine-in...
Read moreFood was excellent... service was less than great.
Expectations were high when we chose this location as the Trip Advisor ranked it top in the area for fine dining. Place was popular for sure and still very busy for our 9pm reservation.
From walking in the door we were not greated with a warm smile rather more of a scowel from both servers. We were taken to a small booth to which it was clear that my 6'4" 330lb frame was not going to fit into so I requested a table. This was an inconvenience for the young server and the look on his face made that clear.
Once seated it took just under 5 minutes to order and our new server appeared to be just as unenthusiastic to be there as her peer that sat us. We both ordered the 3cheese tortellini and I requested the extra salmon.
While waiting for our food another server dropped a tray of dirty dishes causing a commotion. When the food arrived it was clear that my wife's plate had less food than mine. Like noticeably less 10-15 pieces of pasta. She did not want to cause a fuss and the amount was perfect for her but I was surprised.
Before eating our server asked if there was anything else we would like? Pepper? Paramazon cheese? We both requested the parmazon... after a lengthy wait we both realized that she was not coming back so we began eating.
The food was honestly excellent. The pasta was perfect the salmon was prepared just right but during our meal the server that dropped his tray earlier... did it again causing another commotion.
No one came to ask us if everything was fine. The server quietly dropped the bill and took my payment.
Maybe it was an off night but honestly for a location to have such high ratings we were expecting...

Also Amerigo was an Italian explorer; Amerigo Vespucci, who played a significant role in the discovery of the new world. They give him that nickname bc was best known for his exploration of the coast of South America. Today, the name Amerigo is associated with discovery, exploration, and bravery. I hope you enjoyed the mini history about the name (: now, why the owner choose that name? Is a mystery… They have several locations in diff states, I go to the Huntsville , AL bc is closer home !
