Reserved thru booking.com, something around $300 for the room. Received a call the next day stating that they didn't have any apartment plus' that I reserved and only regular apartments. I asked the difference to which I was told there would be no financial difference since I had already received a discounted rate by using booking.com. I find two problems with that, you're advertising something that you can't fulfill which leads me to believe that someone else called for the apartment plus at a higher rate so I was downgraded in turn with nothing in return (someone said they would see what they could offer me but nothing was promised and I doubt I ever hear back about that) the second problem was that when I asked about the differences, I was talking about the room itself (is there less features included etc) to which I was told there was no difference and that the standard apartment I received was actually better than the apartment plus because it had more square feet. One of these things don't add up but we continue on. They require you to check in online suggesting you do it via their own app. however, their app only supports apple iOS. So I tried through a desktop web browser but the functionality just wasn't there. no big deal I thought, I can check in at the front desk like normal, right? Wrong. So you have to check in online in order to get a pin code to open their parking area. finally managing to get my way through their online check in process (which includes photographs of your identification, selfies and attempts to require identification of any guests and authorization to perform a background check) however, after I completed it I still didn't receive parking info. I called the number on the confirmation email, that got me an help desk of sorts for a property management company. I discussed my situation with the lady on the phone and waited for well over ten minutes (no exaggeration, I watched the call timer on carplay) they picked up the phone and informed me that they couldn't get in touch with anyone at the property, they didn't have a phone number for the front desk but finally gave me a number to get in the gate. As others have stated, another $40 to park in a gated lot that's only accessible by customers of the property who've already paid for a pin code to get in. I would ultimately leave for dinner and when I got back there were no visible spots open except one that was sandwiched between two oversized trucks resulting in inability to open a door on either side. again, called the company, where can I park if I already paid here and there's no spaces, surely there's an overflow lot? nope and no ability to contact the front desk either, all these fees I guess nobody.can pay the phone bill. however we managed to find one other spot in the back corner, small enough to fit the car but only open one door. so my significant other got out of the car and stood there while I parked the car and got out myself. I don't understand where we ended up paying $200 for hotel rooms and having TV's without content or channels, I get the "everyone has a subscription" to one thing or another but what happened to just watching the news or the weather channel. the toilet was maybe an inch off the wall so plan on sitting at a 45 degree angle. I don't know just overall a sad excuse for...
Read moreStay Here, you won't regret it! My husband and I love Nashville and recently visited and brought our teenage son along. This was the perfect fit for us. Never heard of this company, but they are now going to be our go-to for trips in areas they are located! It was spacious, clean, accommodating, well priced, comfortable, great location, well decorated, and so on. Was immediately impressed with the communication from the property, very concise and informative. Made it easy to locate the property, access the building, the room, and private parking, all very quickly and smoothly. The beds are comfortable enough for a quick trip. To be fair, we have very high end mattresses in our home, so its just hard to compare when traveling. My son took the sleeper sofa, and he agreed, it was comfortable enough for the quick trip. Having a full kitchen was the best. I have many food allergies and its tough trying to eat out safely for every meal, so for us having the option to eat in if/when needed couldn't have been better. I was so impressed with the free gated/private parking included with the stay. Free wifi/internet access included, which seems to be becoming less and less common with hotels. The price was amazing for the room quality and location. We were so close to everything, while somehow provided a quiet and secure downtown stay. Roku was included with the TV which is one of our favorite options as we can easily log in to our streaming services to watch what we want to watch, though they did have channels included. The coffee station was amazing, included many different coffee, tea, sweetener, and creamer options. Even had high end salt/pepper grinders and cooking spray, which seems like an odd thing to get excited about but as my husband loves to cook, this was a very pleasant surprise. I liked having the option to do laundry if needed, as I love to pack light, so that's always a plus. Though we didn't use it during our stay, the gym seemed accommodating for a good workout. There is the option of parking in a garage nearby for a fee, but that is only if for some reason the private/free parking on property doesn't fit your needs. Overall, we were impressed, loved the stay, perfectly met all of our needs and more, and we are definitely booking with Mint House again, whether its at this location or another in a different area. The only areas that could have slight improvement is maybe a little better water pressure for the shower, but I like a heavy down pour, and maybe adding a small TV added to the bedroom, but it was in no way a deal breaker for us, and we will be back. Read moreThis has been one of the worst experiences we've had with booking a hotel. We originally booked this a week and a half ago and we were excited to go. We had outside circumstances come up that we weren't sure we would be able to work around to go to Nashville. We had to call several times to even talk to someone directly. When we finally got through, they told us we had booked through TripAdvisor we would have to go through them to possibly cancel, even though we had booked directly on the MintHouse website. After the 6th phone call, we finally connected to Tiffany. We stressed to her we only wanted to know our options for possibly cancelling. We were looking at finding another sitter but if not, we wanted to know if we would be able to possibly cancel. She told us it was highly unlikely but she would check with her manager and call us back so we could go from there. We never heard back from her, and we were finally able to get another sitter lined up so we thought we were good to go. Imagine our surprise when we got an email from the Mint House cancelling our reservation later that same evening. We immediately called them to let them know we weren't cancelling, that we had only been inquiring in case we couldn't find another sitter. We were told they would rebook us. We then got a call from them not 20 minutes later stating that they could not rebook us because they were completely booked up. They told us we could call them at 8:00 the following morning to "see if there were any cancelation". They were apologetic but being this is less than 48 hours from when we were supposed to be there, we are now left scrambling. Many hotel prices have doubled. When we called again this morning, we were told that there were no cancellations, but they offered us a discount for our next visit. We will never book through them again. We were so looking forward to our trip to Nashville and now we don't know what we're going to do. We're left without a room and only the promise that they'll "call us back". I get that we were within 48 hours of our reservation. That part is not their fault. My frustration lies in the fact that we were scrambling trying to figure out alternatives since we were thrown a curve ball last minute. We only wanted to know our options in case we had to cancel and then the cancellation was done without our final consent. It's also frustrating to me the number of times that we've had to reach out to them on this matter. Do...
