Went here for a date nite and had a terrible experience. Started the night off with having our table switched due to front of house double seating a waitress which landed us in a high top. After eating our cold bang bang shrimp, the table next to us spilled their entire wine chiller on to us and under our table. I mean a TON of water and ice came out. Instead of moving us, due to the huge mess caused by another guest, the host came over and started sweeping the ice up from under our feet. We realized the inconvenience of sitting there and stood up and moved our chairs to make it easier. While standing away from our table. They deliver the food and just sit it on our table for us to look at. Sweeping it doesnāt do the trick so next they bring out the Huge mop with the yellow bucket and start swinging it around. While our food is still sitting on the table. I request we move tables and he says it will only take a minute and āyall better get a discount or something because this is a mess.ā Our waitress then comes over and comments on how bad the mop smells, agreed. She agrees to move tables for us. We move, start eating our food and after weāre half way done I realize our order is wrong. The content of the sushi is not what we order. I tell our waitress, she says she will take the cheaper roll off and replace it with the more expensive roll we ordered. I tell her I would just like the one removed from the bill as I didnāt want to be in restaurant any longer. We get the check, no discount, no visit from management, and we leave. I would not recommend this restaurant for its service, food, or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreQuite a mixed bag of experiences we all left with after our visit to the Skye Lounge! Some of my family members ended up disliking it, I personally thought it was quite alright.
The seating arrangement was what we all could agree on ā that it was awful š we had dinner reservations but were seated on the sofa overlooking the beautiful night views of downtown Nashville. We asked to be seated where thereās a table to keep the sushi š±. Itās designed to be more of a lounge and we were mistaken to get dinner reservations there. The high top table was fine but the stools were uncomfortable to some, and table was too small to keep everyoneās multiple plates of sushi, appetizers/Salad, water and drinks. Extremely congested that we started moving things off of the table even before we could finish it just to make more space. Urgh!
Food wasnāt bad for me. They have Sushi options for those whoāre vegetarians also. Edamame and spring roll bites prior to food were good too. Loved the bang bang shrimp š¤ appetizer. Salads were good too, the strawberries š avocado š„ walnut salad was good, and excellent vanilla dressing. Iām not a salad fan, but was very impressed with theirs.
Most of us had no complaints for food and we all agreed on the stunning views from the lounge. There was live music being played while we were there, she was on the other side of the lounge so we couldnāt see her but on our way back, we saw her perform while waiting for the elevator.
Itās an excellent choice to grab a few drinks and have a bite with it but I wouldnāt recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe restaurant left a mixed impression.
The sushi had a very unusual taste, quite different from the classic flavor one would expect. It seemed as though regular rice was used instead of the specific type meant for sushi, which significantly affected the overall experience.
One peculiar detail was the soy sauce on the tableāit came sealed, requiring us to remove both the label and the cap. Unfortunately, while opening it, I accidentally spilled the sauce on myself, which was quite inconvenient.
The seating arrangement was also disappointing. Despite having reserved a table, we were seated on a sofa with a small coffee table, which made it very uncomfortable to enjoy our meal properly.
Our server was very kind and polite, but there were some service issues. For instance, the food was served, but the utensils arrived about 7 minutes later. Additionally, the champagne was simply left in an ice bucket without being poured into glasses, which felt impersonal.
On the positive side, the restaurant offers a stunning view from the window, and its overall concept is commendable. However, there are several aspects that need improvement to elevate the...
