I have been a resident at The Cumberland Apartments in Downtown Nashville for 7 months. I live in a one bedroom with about 800sqft, washer/dryer inside, and a balcony. Let me tell you why I love living here:
Location: The Cumberland is right in the middle of Downtown Nashville, so there is never a shortage of things to do, people to meet, and places to explore. You are only a few minutes away from anything exciting that may be going on in the city. There are several eateries literally a couple of foot steps away from the apartment. Also it is located close enough to the action that you can enjoy the ambience of downtown sounds w/o them disturbing your sleep. Just a block away there is a full service grocery store, a drug store, a food arcade, a few different banks, and all types of local businesses. Most of the food places do not normally deliver but because you are a Cumberland resident they will bring the food right to your door without an extra charge. Uber/Lyft/Taxis are always readily available to bring you to and from your desired destination.
Service: The employees at the Cumberland are hands down the nicest and most courteous group of people I have been around. From the concierge to the security guards to the leasing agents they all will greet you with a smile and help in any way possible. They keep the facility clean and retain a welcoming atmosphere. The repairs and maintenance team respond to requests immediately and provide quality service.
Amenities: As a resident of the Cumberland you gain access to some great amenities. A) They offer apartments with balconies, multiple bed rooms, and washer/dryers inside. There is a residential laundry matt inside and also residents receive a discount from Nicholson's dry cleaners. B) You have access to a state of the art media room with multiple flat screens, pool tables, and shuffle boards. C) Each resident pays for a parking spot inside the garage which is at the bottom of the building, so there will always be an open space available. Also the garage is secured by key card entry to enter the gate and also the apartment complex. The garage is insulated so it’s mildly effected by the weather but you are safe from rain, hard winds, or extreme hot or cold. D) The new workout facility has all you need to burn those calories. It is private and contains enough machines where it is never too packed. E) There is a UPS packaging store connected to the building for all of your shipping needs.
Appeal: The Cumberland just recently finished up renovating the complex and it looks awesome. The new style is very innovative and when you walk in the lobby you question "Is this the lobby of apartment or a snazzy hotel." The added paintings and architecture have really giving it life and pizzazz.
Price: Living downtown is an important decision that should be thought out thoroughly because rent is not cheap anywhere you go. I have visited several other apartment complexes downtown and for the price I pay none can compare. The Cumberland is an older model apartment complex so the spaces for occupancy are larger than the New York style apartments that have recently been built around the city.
I would definitely vouch that The Cumberland is one of the top spots to live in downtown Nashville, TN. When my lease ends I will not be thinking about ‘moving out’ but ‘moving up’ to a higher level room. Become a member of the Cumberland community and give yourself an experience you will remember for a...
Read moreI love this place. The people here are so friendly. Maintenance is on top of things. Anytime I put a request in its resolved within a few hours. I love the walkability of this place, the location cant be beat. Amenities are always clean and working. The coffee bar is always stocked. Apartment itself is updated nicely and has great sqft for the price and huge closets. Parking is 100$ a month which is a steal for downtown parking IMO. Parking structure is secured as well with many cameras for safety. Place is also dog friendly and my 2 pooches love getting their treats from the concierge after their daily walkies. Windows are sound proofed so the noise of the city is reduced greatly. I can not say enough praise about this place. Id recommend it to any of my friends. The only thing I dont like is the 54 dollar fee to pay rent online, seems steep. I make up for the cost by using the coffee bar...
Read moreI lived in in this building for a year (2015-216) and absolutely loved it! The staff is second to none. The leasing agents (especially Lauralee) are amazing, and the front desk concierges will know you by name. Also, the maintenance guys are GREAT- they will handle any problem for you the same day and are so friendly. The major pros of this building include parking that is underneath the building, 24/7 concierge service, package delivery to the front desk and a UPS store in the lobby, main level computers and printers, and a huge social area on the main floor. The only real con I can think of is that some of the residents are on the older side, and this led us to some noise complaints. Overall, there is a good mix of people living in this building.
I would highly recommend the Cumberland, and if I hadn't had to move out of state for work, I would still be living in...
