The first night here was fine. The room was large (2 queens) and we'll worn (not something you look for in a hotel, but functional. The light/fan in the bathroom over the toilet was missing a cover and rattled loudly. The kitchen sink faucet was a challenge to operate, but worked. But for the price, these were small things. The second night though, the occupants if the adjecent room decided to party till dawn, with much shrieking and telling and singing along. Early on, 10 pm ish on a Saturday, we just accepted it. We've had out fun and more than once forgot the time. But by 1am we'd had enough, the music had only gotten louder and there was no signs they would be done. So we called the front desk to let them know this was happening and we couldn't sleep. Nothing changed for 29 minutes, so we called a second time. This time the music was turned down for maybe 5 minutes, then it went back up and the yelling got louder as the occupants got drunker (there were easily several cases of beer in the trash by later that morning.) I don't know what the policy of this hotel is regarding unruly occupants... I'm pretty sure it's in the contract that you'll behave like a considerate and civilized adult (and keep your kids in check.) But nothing changed and the noise continued untill 5am. But it didn't stop completely (it was as if the last song they passed out to looped the rest of the early hours of the morning and the bass from it could still be heard past my ear buds and over the white noise sounds I tried to cover it with so I could get some sleep. Even after 5, at lesser volune, the bass continued. When we went down to he front desk, the attendant was very apologetic and gave us the GMs email address, who we emailed in the hopes that at least they'd comp the one sleepless night. Of they do anything, I'll amend this review. But for now, I wouldn't return here at any price, given that they don't seem to know how to deal with problem customers who are ruining the experience for every room around theirs and possibly beyond. I'd have found the electrical panel and switched off the power to their room for a while or have called the police and who might have been the best option in this case. Instead, the problem was ignored at the cost of our sleep, ruining the last day of our short vacation....

Linda, the Desk Clerk who checked me in, radiated kindness as she walked me thru the check-in process. When I later had to potentially change rooms, she once again reflected care and concern for my dilemma. Thankfully for the two of us, that room change didn’t need to occur after all.

For the San Luis Obispo area, this hotel had a very competitive price – one could almost say a very low price. Accordingly, since I made my reservation 30 minutes prior to my arrival, I had concern of what my money would buy. I must say, I was nicely surprised. The entire property appeared in very good condition and provided all the amenities I wanted. Having been on a motorcycle trip for nearly a month, I had entered many hotel rooms, hoping for good, and sometimes finding bad. In this case, for room #104, I was nicely surprised at my first impression, one which proved correct.

Somewhat in joking, someone not, my ultimate evaluation of a hotel room is, “Would my wife stay in it?”. Quite a few of the rooms I’ve stayed in during this trip, she would absolutely not stay in. But in my room at Hotel Buena Vista, I feel certain she would’ve felt...

I am saddened to leave only two stars for this hotel. When I had called I made the reservation for my mother. I asked for the senior discount which thankfully they were able to do. Saved us a bit of money BUT I strongly feel that it was a bit over priced for the service my mother and brother received. There were stains on the wall in their room (possibly coffee) looked awful. The chair in the room seemed to have been falling apart. Couldn't quite do much in the room like move the chair because it was coming apart. When we asked for pool towels we got a towel with holes and it was ripped throughout. That just did it! If we wanted a rag to clean up the room ourselves we would have asked but that was very inappropriate. I really did want to like this hotel. Their property is cute and is in a nice area and when I spoke to Diana over the phone she was very helpful and kind. Other than that, other staff was not as polite. just for reference, my mother and brother stayed. I only got to visit them a few times during their stay and encountered some of...

Great example how poor customer service changes thr while experiencs. They do not have an option to talk to a live person to make the reservation. I made it online at 830pm. At 840pm I was at their lobby that on the door stated it was open until 9pm. But it was closed. I called using the provided phone and a lady answered demanding to know when I made the reservation. She sounded annoyed. She stated she had to change clothed and I was to wait outside for 10-15 minutes in 45 degree weather. When she arrived she instructed us to walk around the building to get into the lobby. I guess it was just too much work to walk to the door we were freezing at to let us in...lazy. She (no name badge - black curly hair, heavy set) was wearing a hoodie and gym shorts...not professional. She glared at us. The pool and spa are permanently closed. The room was old, decor dated, and huge gap under the door to the outside...any critter like a mouse, squirrel coukd come in freely. I won't return. <$100/night.

I liked the hotel. The lady at the front desk was very nice when I went to check in and when I went back a few hours later because I had locked myself out. 🤦🏾‍♀️😅 It is a nice walk downtown but away enough that I didn't have to deal with the noise or struggle with parking. The room was a little dated but clean and nice. I could hear the people upstairs since I was on the first floor but it wasn't overwhelmingly loud. Breakfast is as others warn. Prepackaged muffins and bread, some fruit, coffee, and packets of oatmeal. Expect to eat out for breakfast, especially if you're trying to stay away from sugar. I liked it as a morning snack, though. There aren't places to sit in the lobby but there are tables scattered throughout the property, including in front of the lobby entrance, where one can eat. Overall, it is a nice getaway and I would stay again. Thanks for having me, Hotel Buena Vista.

My weekend was terrible … I never thought that the room 109 was nasty sorry for the word but it’s true. All the set of sheet was stained and cover pillows was dirty. Bad service and that hotel never changed of blanket. I called the front desk respect of the room. She told me I pick-up of sheet. Because they didn’t have the service for changed the sheets. We did the changed the blankets and sheet. So the hotel is a very bad conditions. I don’t recommend there and they never told me. A refund for this
