The rooms are just a notch above your typical Motel6 fair in that they were better maintained but don't expect anything fancier than a Motel6 in terms of furniture, room size, bedding, bathroom size etc.. It's your typical cookie cutter motel room.
The front desk was actually present every time I needed it, which is better than most motel I've stayed at.
The location is less than a 5min drive from downtown and is walking distance to food places.
HOWEVER... we stayed one night and what a night! Around midnight all hell broke loose.
First an older lady in her 60s with a small black dog and no teeth woke us up by knocking on our door just past midnight. She stayed there and knocked again when we didn't respond. I opened the curtains to check it out and she did a double take on me, excused herself and left. We believe it's the long term resident mentioned in other comments but can't say for sure. We never heard her dog bark, at least not during the night. We weren't there during day time.
Then some 5min later, the woman next door started a shouting match with guys in the parking lot from far inside her room, her door wide opened. That went on for a good 10min before the front desk guy showed up. Needless to say that was frustrating and made it hard to go back to sleep. Front desk guy leaves closing her door and some minutes later 2 dudes started banging non-stop on her door, really loud and shouting. She took her time, clearly not wanting to open to them but she finally did. They went in, and it sounded like she was in trouble, they were shouting back and forth at each other but she was screeching at times. We thought she was getting beaten up so we called the front desk. Front desk showed up, threaten to throw them out and call the cops, the 2 dudes left and she calmed down. By the time that ordeal was done it was close to 1am. Took us a while to settle back down and fall asleep. Our 6 hour road trip was insanely difficult the next day.
I honestly can't believe they charged us $193 for that Saturday night experience but that was the cheapest rate in town on that date. That was very expensive for what it is and I'm not...
Read moreUsed to love coming to this Motel - that is, until the Mngmnt. recently decided to turn a block of rooms over to "traveling Contract Workers" who were so loud & boisterous upon returning evenings, I couldn't relax & just enjoy the (former) quiet atmosphere I'd become familiar w here. At one point, back when - all you heard nearby was the croaking of frogs! Sketchy, loud, drunk characters hanging around out in parking lot by their pick-up trucks, didnt want to stay in their rooms!! BBQing, (tacky in pkng. lot) laughing loudly, drinking beer, etc. Their noise travels, especially in the evening when things should be quiet! I was informed when I checked out, this 'crew' is there M-F weekly - thru Oct.!!! I will not be back. Be warned!! NOT a good place for people who prefer quiet setting in the eves., or for Single F Solo travelers. I complained 3x about the noise level, as well as the rowdiness, but it was not adequately abated by Mngmnt. I nearly checked out, but waited instead till morning. Very disappointing. The Mngmnts. have lowered their standards out of Post...
Read moreFYI: This hotel is very shady with your money when booking through third party sites; consider alternatives.
I booked through booking which I've done a hundred times, choosing to "book now, and pay upon arrival at hotel". The second they got my credit card information a few minutes after I made the reservation they had charged my card. Just be aware when making your reservation, because if for whatever reason you want to pay at the hotel, instead of when you're making the reservation, this hotel will not do that, and will charge the card immediately. The guy working couldn't seem to care when I called:
message to hotel: It may not be a big deal to you, but there's a reason people choose the "pay upon arrival" option (which is the more expensive option), instead of pay now. If I wanted my card charged the second I made the reservation I would've...
