We were in the area for the day, I was with my grandparents and we were showing my son to the local college because he's of college age. Any who we were starving and their were a few options on the street but I wasn't in the mood for hit or miss so we chose this place. My grandma dashed across the street to scope out the menu (make sure it was wheelchair accessible as well) and well the coast was clear. Super cute place nice scenery nice lay out. There was one person in there in the front managing the bar and the restaurant in general and she didn't seem too happy about it. Several times we had to get her attention as she was super busy setting up for the night she said. I ordered the frank no cheese (smash burger onion rings bacon barbecue sauce) my son got the same thing I got but with cheese my grandma got the Royale with cheese (smash burger plain with cheese) my grandpa got the Oh Gee dog which he pronounced ogg Dogg ( I screamed) (100% Premium All Beef Dog Wrapped in Center Cut Bacon, Pico De Gallo, Chipotle Crema ) I also got a boozy milkshake (homemade milkshake with alcohol in it) while the food was absolutely delicious the service was NOT. I still left a 20 percent tip because well that's how I was...
Read moreLeft here 730pm on 8/2/23. There was only one person working. One single human. Now I do think the one person I saw had a cook in the back but I did not see that human so at this point I am assuming that this lone soldier was cooking the food as well. One person. Taking orders. Running the bar. Making the drinks. Bringing the food. Cleaning the tables. Dealing with the customers. And yes I even witnessed his receipt printer running out of paper so then he had to go on a scavenger hunt to find the receipt rolls and replace it; because of course that would happen when you are one person running an entire restaurant and possibly cooking the food as well!! One. Single. Human. And he was doing a fantastic job!!! Great job to you my brother. He gets five stars but really he deserves most of the dollars that he helped drive to the business that night. Food was above average. Burger was good. I didn't love the crinkle cut style of French fries they served but I understand that fries are kinda of gamble. This business needs to staff better which in todays world means you need to pay more. If you can't pay more, cut positions or cut the business. Treat your people better. Until...
Read moreUPDATE: A few weeks after the hotel owner promised us they would fix the wrong charges, we still didn't get the correct refund. We reached out and didn't hear back. Their claimed commitment to continue improving was just pure lip service. We are now pursuing refund through filing about fraudulent behavior to our credit card companies.
Food is average taste and slightly pricey (one egg for $6 and one toast for $10). Service is friendly (kudos to the one person who ran the whole place - like the other posts said, the hotel owners understaffed the whole restaurant and when reviews pointed out the understaffing situation, they proudly admitted it) but also slow (as one person for a huge restaurant is really not realistic). They may assign charges to the wrong rooms (and when you want to figure out why and fix the charges, the hotel staff would be super rude and assign blame to guests instead of owning the mistake) - so you may want to just pay with credit cards/cash. The hotel owners/managers don't treat their own people nor guests respectfully.
Overall unless you have no option, avoid...
