Hamburger, please. Hold the chunk of hair... I have been going to Frank Dog for the past 20+ years and it is what you would expect from a small college town: good food, priced well and in an old building. Today I met my family there for lunch and my oldest child (who is a little OCD about eating out), pulled a big chuck of hair out of his mouth after taking a bite from his hamburger. Not only did it ruin a $50 family lunch, but there is no way my son is going to eat at places like this again. I took the chunk of hair and showed it to the manager. I didn't ask for a refund as that would not have improved the situation, or for store credit because I will not be eating there anymore. None of their employees were wearing gloves or hairnets so I can see how it could easily happen. We won't be visiting this place again. Just gross.....

We were really excited and had high hopes for this place but we definitely weren’t impressed. Even my boys who will eat just about ANYTHING weren’t too thrilled. We placed a to go order, and after traveling all day we were pretty hungry, but none of us ended up even finishing our food. The meat on the burger was extremely dry and the cheese was rubbery. The deep fried hot dogs weren’t deep fried at all, and my moms hot dog had the weirdest grayish green hue to it that we began debating if it was even okay to eat. The fried zucchini and mozerella sticks were pretty sad, and we didn’t end up with a single napkin, ranch, ketchup packet or anything else for our huge order. Maybe it’s better if you eat in? Not to happy that we just spent $99 dollars for food that sucked. On the bright side the breakfast burrito was big and okayish.

What a HUGE disappointment. $16 for a chilli dog, fries and a cup of water. The chilli dog was a sorry looking little gray sausage and a soggy bun floating in a pool of chilli and beans (with tomatoes) that had very little flavor. Apparently they are unaware that hot dog chilli is different than just chilli and beans you pour into a bowl. The fries were undercooked and the ketchup is clearly some cheap off-brand. The water was good and cold though. The service staff spent part of the time yelling at each other in the kitchen or behind the counter making it hard to actually hold a conversation. If Franks is famous for their hotdogs, maybe their reputation was made many years ago.

Filthy! This place has gone way down hill since the original owners. Got order wrong. Wanted a veggie burger was delivered a mini burger. Had to wait longer for that..... already a long wait. Filthy booths. Torn seats. Filthy tables. Refused to eat, came here for the kids. Just disturbing someplace so low quality and dirty could be so popular. Thumbs down -1. Come to find out they don’t even have vegggie burgers.....MAJOR LET DOWN!!!! Total DIVE..... lots of miscommunication also....bad experience👎🏻

UPDATE requested the veggie burger which they don’t have anymore. The worker removed the greasy patty and delivered the burger patty free. As a vegetarian burger grease is nothing you want to partake in. So when requesting the money back it was a HUGE ORDEAL. The cashier was inept. Requested help from a very rude manager type. He sat at the register for minutes with a foul attitude. As I’m waiting I see a cook wiping burgers off with a towel. Utterly disgusting. He treated me with a huge lack of respect. Offered me a lunch for 2 coupon. Why would I want that after the filth in there and rude attitude?! All I wanted was the $3.50’rerurned for their mistake and to get out of there. He slammed $5 on the counter and uttered more rude comments. After visiting Franks for over 25+ years this is one of my worst “restaurant” experiences. Enter at...

OMG I’m so disappointed… my roommate recommended this place and by his voice I should have stayed away! Oh well I was craving a good hot dog wow… I placed my order and went over it twice I clearly stated chili for both dogs now keep in mind I was extremely hungry so he brings my dogs and I tear into the first one I noticed there was no chili ok I’m very hungry so I just continued to consume… I just cut into the polish with chili cheese NOT this one was lacking the key ingredient CHILI ok I’m bummed out now here’s the final straw that put it over the top! #1 the dogs were totally over cooked very dry #2 I tipped $10.00 on a $20.00 order I think people go there because it's easily accessible look at the recent reviews they speaks volumes… lesson learned #1 go over the order with the customer #2 you only get one chance to make a good impression… enough said spend your hard earned money elsewhere! Go to Costco for a buck.55...

We used to enjoy coming to Franks but today's visit not so much, we couldn't carry on a conversation as the staff kept yelling "corndog" and by yelling I mean YELLING as loud as they could. Then there was the really loud clap, no reason just one clap every few minutes. The price was a bit high in my opinion as well but a krout dog, Polish dog, corndog 2 fries, 3 drinks 55.00? Ok well I think in the future we will go elsewhere, it was nice when we used to come here but I think we are done. After reading other reviews it would appear that these are a common PROBLEM at Franks, and then the responses have the feel of like this is your (the customers) fault, we are just having fun so get over it. Franks used to be a great place to take the family, now it is being run into the ground. So long Franks, we miss the old Franks, but we wont miss the...
