I recently stayed at the Skyview Manor Motel in Seaside Heights and rented a two-bedroom apartment. Overall, my experience was a mix of highs and lows, but the exceptional customer service made up for the few shortcomings.
Firstly, the rooms were not the best. The beds were quite squishy, and any slight movement caused the bed to shift, which was a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, I noticed stains on some of the bedsheets and pillowcases, and the toilet was not as clean as I would have liked. However, as soon as I contacted housekeeping and management about these issues, they were resolved promptly. The staff was incredibly responsive and courteous, ensuring that my concerns were addressed quickly.
One improvement I wish the motel would consider is offering breakfast. It would have been fantastic to have this option available. Despite this, the pricing of the motel was very reasonable, and I found it to be a great value for the money. Another highlight was the flexible checkout time; although the standard checkout is 10 am, the manager kindly accommodated my request to stay until 8 pm, which was excellent and allowed me to enjoy my time in Seaside Heights even more.
The pool was great but it was bit dirty, due to sand and dirt which is understandable because it is near the beach.
The location of Skyview Manor Motel is a major plus. The nearby beach and boardwalk made the stay ten times better, providing easy access to the beautiful coastline and lively attractions. I also felt very secure parking my vehicle here, as they provided parking permits and multiple parking lot options. While one of the parking spaces was a bit tight, the others were more spacious and convenient.
In summary, Skyview Manor Motel offers great customer service and a prime location near the beach and boardwalk. Although there were some issues with the room's cleanliness and bed comfort, the staff's responsiveness and the excellent pricing made the overall experience enjoyable. I would recommend this motel to others, especially for the value and the fantastic...
Read moreMy family and I stayed here two years ago because I was on budget, and found to be interested in the kiddie pool for my daughter and literally right there near the beach. And to those who are wondering about "bed bugs" I NEVER stay anywhere without doing a bed bug registry check because I know and aware of the epidemic outbreak years ago and to this day and this place two years ago was bed bug free surprisingly. Check in was easy (so I thought) and got to see our room where I discovered NO CLOSETS, or my requested coffee maker. OK, questioned this but all I got was excuses and received a coffee maker that looked like a child's play toy. I didn't even bother. We still checked the beds and mattresses anyway and saw that the hard wood floors have NEVER seen a dust mop or cleaning solution. Our bathroom sink was clogged. The next day,or TWO days there, the office calls me and reviews a FEE that he admits he screwed up on and expects me to pay a remainder of what he "forgot" to charge me. While out with my family, the office calls me again on my phone and now complains he needs us to return to the motel and move our vehicle which was legitimate on their property. Meanwhile, you would think someone would fix our bathroom sink while we were out after reporting it, but instead, had to REPORT it again when we returned. Even that was rude having a total stranger fixing this while myself and family are settled in the room for the night having a remote to the t.v that needed tape to hold the batteries in and the bathroom drain was clogged with numerous hair ties. IF you enjoy the things that my family and I went through at this place, fine, but this was supposed to be a family vacation.Instead, was bothered with harassing/interrupting phone calls, money and parking issues and doing "chores" in my motel room with no closets. My husband used the tiny useless corner space for his stuff still in the luggage as he gave up the tiny dresser draws for mine and the...
Read moreI went here for prom weekend and I was pretty terrified before I arrived because I'd read some horrible reviews about bedbugs and mold and more disgusting stuff. First impression wasn't great, the exterior look a little shady and the top floors were crowded with people looking at us. There's basically no parking space either, and we got a ticket for stopping on the side of the road while checking in. The lobby was also pretty shoddy and the people we saw looked suspicious, but turned out to be very welcoming and nice. They told us about some great food and entertainment places. We got placed on the fourth floor, the top one. When we walked in, the room was actually quite nice. The beds were made, the furniture and room looked clean (actually clean, not just and absence of alcohol and big stains). The bedsheets did have some gross stains on them but we had brought our own and threw those to the side and used their comforter. We checked the mattresses and sofa bed for bedbugs and didn't see any of those or any mysterious stains on the beds themselves (we didn't wake up with bedbug bites either, so they were in fact ok). The TV was a little outdated but worked well and the microwave worked well, but the fridge was actually warm inside? The bathroom was surprisingly clean and there was clean hot water, but we couldn't figure out how to get cold water from the faucet which sucked but we lived. All the lights and outlets worked and so did the door locks. The parties didn't even bother us, everyone in the motel was fairly quiet and it was the people in houses nearby that made noise. We were also about 2 minutes walking from the boardwalk and beach which was great. Overall it was a pleasant stay there and I'd...
