Surfside Motel — Hotel in Seaside Heights

DO NOT DO IT!!!! ZERO STARS!!! this was by far the WORST place i have ever stayed. i have stayed in some shady places before but this was barely habitable. we had 2 rooms. both were disgusting. sand and dirt everywhere. our shower had no hot water other did but both disgusting. no toilet seat in our room. that should say it all. beds were busted and you could feel the springs right through it. basically no padding left on them. pillows looked like flat tortilla shells and a tortilla woulda been softer and cleaner under my head. cops were at the place multiple times. each night 2 just stayed at the lobby. thats how bad the patrons and area were. it IS right off the boardwalk but that didnt overcome all the horrible experiences. screaming and blaring music all night each night. expect to navigate groups of people on the walkways everytime you leave and come back. drugs seem to be everywhere. i have no problem with whatever but we had 4 kids with us. not okay. staff could care less. one staff basically told us they dont clean anything. we bought our own sheets and blankets. it was a step up from sleeping under the stairwell. that mighta been cleaner. at least the rain woulda washed the ground. i cant say enough negative things. if i was a broke college kid its still too disgusting to stay here. i have been in cleaner frat basements. my sink was barely staying in the wall and was slanted down so far my stuff actually fell off it. the pool was the best part. i shoulda bought a floatie and slept in it. although multiple nights random drunk kids jumped the fence and dove in on their way home from bars. i cant believe this place passes ANY type of inspections. we spent 4 nights in this asylum. it was so disgusting and insane it became comical. not enough parking so dont plan on taking ur vehicle IF you find a spot in their lot. good luck navigating it. i wish i could post my pictures! ultimately it became a good story to tell people for years to come. but please for the love of god dont take your kids here. they all got to witness arrests and people pissing on cars and plenty of drugs and cursing to last a lifetime. if you choose to stay god speed and make sure you're up to date on your shots. dont say i didnt warn you. :) i showered in bleach and penicillen...

I just returned from a 3 night stay at this establishment. This was our first time here. The location was excellent literally right off the boardwalk. So it is convenient to keep your car parked and walk right onto the boardwalk. When we arrived there was a gentleman in the office to check us in. He was very nice and accommodating. We asked for a room on the first floor because my mother who was with us cannot walk very well. He was happy to help. We had the one bedroom with a small kitchenette and sofa bed. The room was clean however the sofa was stained and the beds were very uncomfortable. There was no linens provided in the room for the sofa bed. I called the office three times to request bedding and pillows and did not get an answer. I went into the office and waited until line about ten minutes then asked the lady behind the desk for the items we needed and she said “I can’t be bothered with that I’m busy with reservations, it’s the middle of summer “ (all while the phone is ringing ringing ringing! She didn’t answer it at all ) So I said to her ok well I need these things to sleep who can I ask? She told me to come back in ten minutes. Ten minutes later I went back in waited again and she said well I don’t know if we have any. You should’ve brought your own from home! I couldn’t believe it. Luckily my mom went and saw a nice woman in the laundry room and she gave us the bedding , pillows and extra towels. The kitchen comes with nothing. No pots and pans, dishes or utensils. The bathroom is extremely tiny and the toilet didn’t work properly. There were some sketchy people staying there but no one bothered us and it was relatively quiet after midnight. I probably would not recommend this establishment because of the woman in the office. It costs nothing to be kind. Especially in the hospitality industry. It’s a shame too bc we visit seaside at least twice a year. We usually stay at the Aztec on the boardwalk but they didn’t have a room large enough for our family of 5. I’d rather pay for two rooms there....

First of all the only good thing about this motel is the location, the location is fantastic but that's the only thing. I stayed with five other people in an apartment style room and from the first walk into the room I was shocked at the condition and the cleanliness. The two queen sized beds promised were definitely double sized beds. I found cigarette burn holes in the comforters and as I rolled down the comforters of the beds it revealed dirty sheets. The pullout couch had stains on the cushions and once the mattress was pulled out to be used there were no sheets on the mattress and a few ants crawling over the mattress. The gas burning stove had missing knobs, and seemed warm to the touch even though it was in the off position. The chairs for the dining table were torn and tattered and did not match and were in desperate need of repair. The bathroom was small and tight and in need a deep clean. There was no towel rod in the towel rod holder, no hooks to hang any towels or belongings on, no place to put toiletries in the shower, which required shower shoes to be in and to top it all off the clean towels to dry off with were folder and placed on the back of the toilet; also, no trash can in the bathroom. The bathroom door closed but not very well, as it was hung on the hinges so poorly you could see right into the bedroom area from the toilet. In the morning the cleaning crew was going around and they had new clean towels in trash bags to replace the used, which was alarming as is. If you choose to stay here bring your own cleaning supplies, shower caddy, shower shoes, bedding, over the door hooks and trash cans. I for one would never recommend staying here. If it wasn't for the location and the fact that I did not book the motel I would not have stayed in the first place, this place is a dump, very...
