This is not an Inn, it's a motel. The full name is Breeze Inn Motel. The bathroom had so much scum i could not believe my eyes. I usually don't complain to management about rooms, just never go back to that place if i am not happy with it, but in this case i went straight back to the front desk and showed the lady the photos of the tub in the room she had given us. I said it was unacceptable. She responded that she wasn't the one who cleaned it and there was nothing she could do. I asked to have it cleaned, she said not possible, she was the only one there. I asked to be moved to another room, she said not possible, they were fully booked. I then said when I pay close to $200 per night i expect a clean room. Her response? Well, you actually got a deal because you booked through Expedia. It's actually more than that.... Like THAT justifies filth! Just look at the photos. The window seal is filthy, the fan and the buttons are filthy.. the bed cover was stained.. and the tub in the bathroom was simply unacceptable. ||Never, ever again.. I'd rather camp next time than stay at this place. Cleanliness is number one for me.||I have to say that the front desk clerk changed her tune a bit after talking to the manager and she was more "sympathetic" when i went to check if they had other rooms to move us to. The manager was also more polite than the front desk lady the night we arrived; but still no resolution. Even if they could not give us another room, she could have very well said here's 2 vouchers for a free breakfast one of the 3 days you are staying, as a token of our sincere apologies for the filthy room. But they did not even do that.. They could move us to another room, until they were able to get someone to clean that one before their other guests arrived. They did not offer ANY resolution whatsoever..||Not...
Read moreWe recently stayed here since we were going for cruise tour with Kenai Fjords. We definitely don't recommend making reservation here mainly because of the service.
Firstly the room we booked didn't have a microwave. I didn't understand why some of the hotels/Airbnbs in Alaska do not have microwave in the room. We wanted to warm up some food but unfortunately, there was no microwave in the room. If you need microwave you will need to walk from one building to another and then get to the Lobby area to use microwave. Imagine how stressful this could be for someone who had checked in late in the night.
Secondly, when you make a reservation, you will not be able to identify whether its a general room or premium room. Only premium rooms have microwave. I asked if I could upgrade my room, the front desk person was not sure on how to upgrade an already reserved room and told me i have to wait till the next shift staff gets in and that was past 12am in the night. We felt this as absolutely ridiculous and also we were asked to pay additional price almost the price of premium room just for microwave. Some people might not think of this as big deal but for someone who likes to have warm food and have hot breakfast before leaving the room in the morning, this is a big thing. Also the hotel layout is very weird and you feel like you will need to walk for a mile just to get to your room from the lobby. Imagine doing this with your check in bag.
This will be my first and last stay at this hotel. Never staying here again.
Advice to the management: Please train your front desk staff on how to upgrade an existing room and also include microwave in all rooms or at least mention this on the website if the rooms have...
Read moreWe arrived after departing a cruise ship. First off, the good. The woman who let us hold our bags in storage was extremely nice and helpful. We had to wait a couple hours until our room was ready which was fine. Room was pretty clean along with the bathroom which was a plus but now to the bad…
When we came to check in, the older man with the camo pants and beard was very grumpy to us. Sounded like he didn’t want to deal with out of towners. Rolled his eyes when we asked questions and answered them like we were supposed to know everything about the place.
Our 4 person room had one queen bed and one full. Fitting two average sized adults on the full bed was almost impossible. The box spring was broken and the bed basically sucked us in the middle like an abyss. The air conditioner was not cold whatsoever. They did allow us to hold the bags in storage while we awaited our shuttle. But once we checked out and were getting our stuff ready the grumpy old miserable sap kept rolling his eyes after they got our money and muttering comments under his breath towards us. He was very disrespectful to our family and to be honest, customer service is definitely not his cup of tea. I feel sorry for the other women who work with him because he gives their establishment a sour taste. We will not be staying here if we are in Seward...
