Would not recommend staying here. I would like to note that I tried to text and call the phone number used for booking to ask if I could speak of these concerns with somebody and was told somebody would call me back which they never did. Impersonal service over the phone is all you get and it is horrible and they clearly don’t care what you think about their overpriced room (over $200 without basic amenities or anyone on site is ridiculous). As we arrived we realized there was no one available on site, which would have been fine until we realized there was no one to go to for the following issues (when you get there, it’s very confusing as there is no office. There is just a note on a door that says you will receive a text when you sign into their Wi-Fi on how to get into your room…) upon getting into our far corner closet of a room, there were basic amenities that were not available. First we went to use the bathroom and no toilet paper was on the dispenser so we had to find some to refill it. Then there was wasn’t any soap in the hand soap dispenser so we couldn’t wash our hands (not even a bar of soap to be found!) We ended up taking the body wash out of the shower to use to wash our hands with. The shampoo bottle in the shower looked like it has some kind of mold or something funky in it- very gross looking. All the rooms have portable AC units in them with a hose in the window, and in ours the hose wasn’t even connected on the inside unit, just hanging… this was also was a safety concern for us as we don’t like sleeping ground level with the window left open, so we set the window insert inside to close the window for the night and when we did there were about 5 or more dead flies in the dirty window sill. I also thought it was a little tacky that the window privacy coverings in the bathroom were applied with huge folds in the middle (one with a dead spider caught in the fold) .. should be peeled and re done as a simple fix. The heater unit was super dusty too. Something I would also suggest would be to empty the water sitting in the coffee keurig between guests as stagnant water sitting in the machine for long periods of time without use can create mold or bacteria .. we didn’t use the coffee maker as there was water sitting in there that I was unsure of how long it had been in there. My biggest complaint though would be the lack of basic hygiene supplies provided for our stay!! For these reasons I would say it was very less than satisfactory for the price we paid.. there are many other hotels available at that price so choose somewhere else!

Called ahead to confirm WiFi details and they were helpful over the phone. Arrived to a room that seemed appropriate for the budget price. After checking in and head out for dinner, noticed that the door knob is falling apart. After a beautiful sunset nearby, came back to the room to settle in. The portable ac blocks being able to easily get into bed on one side. The curtains do not block out the lights that fill the property. It’s nice for parking lot security , but the rooms definitely do not get dark. The portable ac panels vent out the window with large tubes, and because they don’t make a proper seal you will hear the hums of all the other air conditioners as well as street noise. So it does not get quiet. At this point it’s 5:40AM, I’ve been up solid since 4AM unable to fall back asleep, and I’m hoping we can get our second night cancelled and refunded. Two stars because at least the room is relatively clean and doesn’t smell terrible , but 0/10 for likelihood of a good nights sleep if you’re sensitive to light or sound. Updating: customer service has failed to return my calls about a refund for the night we didn’t stay. They will text and say “call you right back” but then haven’t followed up. Changing to 1 star for customer service and overall experience.

DO NOT BOOK THIS DUMP, they charge your credit card before hand for a reason. Their facilities are disguising. We arrived to find our room flooded with water from the refrigerator being broken, half the room underwater. We messaged sam the host and he basically told us to get lost. Also get used to sleeping with spiders and huge beetles crawling on you at night because they are everywhere in there. Dirt all over the walls and packed into the window ac unit that is taking up the only window in the room and presumably where all the bugs get in. We had to book another hotel and didn’t even end up staying here. Frustrated, we reached out to the landlord only to have him tell us first that we are lying, then When we sent him pictures they wouldn’t give us a refund because of the type of bugs that were in the room, make sense doesn’t it. Go elsewhere this place will leave you spending the night in your car like we almost had to do. Thankfully we were able to book another room at 11pm at night down the street that was clean.

I recently stayed at the Adventure Lodge in South Lake Tahoe and I have to say, this is my new go-to spot in SLT. For such an affordable price, I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The lodge is a great budget option for those looking for a comfortable stay without breaking the bank.

One of the best things about the Adventure Lodge is its location - it's very central and within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and attractions. This made it very convenient to explore the area without having to worry about transportation.

Another huge selling point for me was the free parking. It can be tough to find accommodation that includes parking in South Lake Tahoe, so having a free parking spot right at the lodge was a huge plus. The check-in process was also very easy and hassle-free, they email you prior to arrival with all the instructions which made for a stress-free arrival.

Overall, I highly recommend the Adventure Lodge to anyone looking for a budget-friendly and comfortable stay in South Lake Tahoe. With its central location, free parking, and easy check-in process, it's the perfect choice for anyone looking to explore the area without breaking the bank. Five...
