Read moreI was traveling with my pre-teen daughters and my mom joined me for the last two days. rooms were very spacious for a hotel, they had both a counter with an actual mini-fridge and a real freezer, microwave and a desk with chair. We easily had space to have two large suitcases and a small one open for daily use. Beds were comfortable, they had both firm and soft pillows, good blankets. Sofa bed wasn't great, my 10yr old could really feel the bar, but that's not surprising heat pump did a good job of providing heat and a/c as needed staff were all cheerful and helpful. housekeeping was Awesome! They came every day and fully made up the room, one day, when we were still in the room they asked if we needed anything and they were very nice answering questions.. free breakfast was ok. The scrambled eggs were ok, on alternating days they had a premade omelet type egg that wasn't great. Breakfast potatoes weren't great but they did have either bacon or sausage each day. Two waffle irons and both regular batter plus blueberry batter. We loved having the whipped cream for our waffles. As a diabetic I would have liked sugar free syrup or peanut butter but the whipped cream did the trick for me. They had a fridge with hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and other items plus muffins, bagels, etc. Juices and good ice water. We were full every day. The lady stocking the breakfast room was very sweet and attentive. plenty of parking, I never felt unsafe, one day I left at 3:45am to drop my daughter at the airport, another day we came back late at night and I had no safety concerns. location was great, we were there for medical appointments in the area but it was an easy drive to lots of food options, Trader Joe's, etc. we were next to a busy road but didn't hear any noticable road noise. We were on floor 3, which was a quiet floor for day sleepers and it was fairly quiet the venture time. we had planned to swim but we were to tired every evening but we did walk down for a few minutes and the pool was clean and had plenty of seats and pool towels. I'm somewhat picky and I would definitely...
Read moreWe had very nice stay at the Comfort Suites Tukwila. The shuttle pickup from the airport was great after a long day of travel and time change. We did have trouble with the card reader on our door on the 4th floor at the furthest point from the front desk. After I left my wife in the hallway with our luggage and went down to get new cards and they didn't work either, I called down and the staff member came up himself with new cards and when they didn't work either, he went back down and then called me and told me to meet him at a different room on the 3rd floor. It was a little frustrating when tired, but they took care of it promptly.|| The pool is beautiful and my wife enjoyed it. The breakfast is great with lots of choices, including homemade oatmeal, which you don't see often. There is a Subway next door.||The nearest bus stop is an easy 5 minute or so walk via a paved path that goes behind the strip center next door. It was hard to find using Google Maps walking directions, but once we did, it was easy. The bus is the easiest way to get downtown. Order an Orca card for $3 and then load it with $8 day passes and you can ride any bus, light rail, monorail and I think even some ferries all day. A great way to see Seattle and much cheaper than staying downtown. We stayed for 3 nights before our cruise. However, it did cost us about $100 to get to Pier 91 cruise ship terminal via Lyft. There might be cheaper ways to do that, like taking the free shuttle back to the airport and then taking light rail from there, but Lyft/Uber was by far the easiest way to get there. And if you stayed closer to Pier 91, you'd have to figure out your transportation from the airport. Probably 6 to one, half-dozen...
