Agave Bar and Grill is a great place to dine and enjoy some delicious Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, making it a great spot for lunch or dinner with friends or family. The menu offers a wide variety of Mexican dishes from tacos to burritos. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous; there's something for everyone regardless of budget! I had the fajitas which were cooked perfectly - they were juicy, flavorful, and simply divine! I also sampled their chips & guacamole appetizer which was absolutely delicious - creamy, chunky and perfect with a cold drink. Overall, Agave Bar and Grill exceeded my expectations in terms of food quality, selection, atmosphere, service and pricing. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for an enjoyable Mexican dining experience. Five stars!

Went tonight for dinner. Wait for a table of 5 was 25 minutes, no names taken, had to wait in line or lose your place. I had lots of expectations after reading the reviews. Chips and sala, the chips tasted overdone. The pineapple margaritas tasted like regular margaritas with no pineapple flavor. Was great if it was a regular. Food...Well not the worst but definitely mediocre. The rice was cold, wanted fish tacos got shrimp, another person ordered the steak fajita taco salad, but received the shrimp instead. Had to wait again to fix it. Meanwhile ordered a kids cheese quesadilla and did not receive until after 15minutes.from the first entree being served. Our sever was friendly, but I am putting this all on the back of house and mgmt.

My wife and I were vacationing with some friends and ate here for dinner one night as a last minute decision. Honestly, we were very surprised with the food. Flavors were really good, especially for a tourist town. The staff was also very welcoming and nice. We were brought endless chips and salsa, which were good. We ordered the Table Guacamole and the service size was just that, for a table! It fed 7 people and we had leftovers! Flavors were good too, not overpowering! For dinner I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos. The portion size was perfect! Flavors were also good! My wife orders the Enchilada Supreme. She doesn’t usually eat her full meal, but this time she cleaned the plate! We would go back, for sure!

Visited here while on vacation in Tybee (6 people). Same guy (very tall) was host and waiter and seemed too busy to seat us, even though there were plenty of open tables. We were ignored while waiting to be seated for about 20 minutes. He finally seated us but did not take drink orders right away. Chips and salsa arrived quickly, which were over half eaten before waiter came back and took drink orders. One person in our party asked a question about a food item on the menu, and the waiter seemed taken aback and said let's just do drink orders right now. He quickly brought our drinks but quickly set them down and left without saying anything or asking if we were ready to order. We had to wait for maybe 10 minutes and had to flag him down to take our food order. Food came quickly. Portions were small and the food was not very good. The steak and chicken in the fajitas was not seasoned very well and the steak was small and stringy. Dishes that were served on a bed of rice hardly had any rice. If it weren't for the chips and salsa (which were excellent BTW), we would have left hungry. Waiter never checked on us and our drinks were empty by the time food arrived. We had to flag him down multiple times for refills and he seemed put out every time. We asked for the check and instead of bringing it, the waiter proceeded to clear the table of all dishes and silverware, and then took everything back to the kitchen and brought the check at least 5-7 minutes later. I gave him my card and then had to wait another 5-7 minutes for him to run it and return. This place was not that busy (Wed evening around 5pm). We were there about an hour and a half because of this waiter. We have never in our lives experienced this kind of treatment at a restaurant, especially at any...

We were the only people there, which was a warning sign. We got chips and salsa which were good. However it went down hill quickly after that. My daughters shrimp salad was inedible. I thought she was being picky, but after trying it, I agree - it was really gross. The shrimp were extremely overcooked and there was no dressing. When she asked for some, the waiter looked at her like she was crazy. He said that most people just use salsa, so she said sure she'd try it. It made it WORSE! I ordered this giant steaming bowl of mixed seafood in a red sauce. It was terrible. After eating a few shrimp which were very tough, I began to wonder how fresh everything was. The fish didn't taste safe to eat. I ordered a strawberry margarita. Drank half before finding a dead bug in it. The waiter came while I was fishing out the bug. I told him there was a big and he said ok. Didn't comp my drink or bring a fresh one. By husband ordered the fish tacos. They were ok - just ok. We were so upset that with all of the great places to eat on the island that we spent our time eating there. We all left feeling very hungry. My daughter didn't eat her salad. I didn't eat my $20.50 seafood dish. Nothing was comped. I've never left a restaurant with so much food untouched. When the waiter asked if I needed a take home container, I stated it wasn't my taste and he said ok. My husband was so mortified (and disappointed/angry) by the experience that he went to the car before I even asked for the check. He just wanted to get the hell out of there. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Terrible service and...

I would like to start off that me and my friends that ate here are all servers and know when a server is just simply not doing their job. Last night I literally had the worst service of my entire life at this restaurant which really upset me because the food was amazing. Luis was our server and he started off great but forgot to put our order in. He tried to play it off like it was the kitchen's fault when in reality he had to be reminded an hour and a half after we ordered what our order was. We saw the other tables near us that were seated 30 mins after us received the food after a 10 mins when we still didn't have our food. We asked for a refill and after 30 mins of a empty glasses we reminded him and he looked as us clueless... he took our cups away! He forgot where he put our cups. We then complained that it took too long to receive our meal and that we wanted some of our food comped off. It took it longer than an hour to receive 9 tacos. After we asked for some of our food to be comped Luis scoffed he said "Yeah I'll do something." He took off our margaritas but we never was sincer with his apology. I'm still in shock how terrible the service is. One server was even running food with a baby on his hip! At one point Luis complained loudly to the whole restaurant that a table outside didn't leave him a tip. NO KIDDING. Delicious food....
