DeSoto Beach Terraces — Local services in Tybee Island

I will not stay here again . For the amount of money I paid per night my expectation was that the apartment was clean . However it was not. Below are my biggest complaints. Dust coating fans, baseboards, ceilings, and corners dishwasher had standing smelly water in it Water pressure in showers was terrible - it was difficult to get sand off after coming back from the beach dishes and flatware was old and gross looking - I ended up buying disposable everything They did not stock enough towels for the occupancy They did not stock bedding for the trundles Furniture was so old there was no support at all. I’m not old but I had to put a pillow on the couch to sit on it bc I didn’t want to feel the springs or bars in my behind We heard beeping randomly during the night and after searching up and down the place - my husband thinks that it was likely a cpap machine from the 3rd floor occupants . Rugs and floors were filthy - leave your feet black . The parking situation was terrible . We were in a mini van and it was a feat to get the car in and out daily

Parking is really tight unless you have a tiny car. Lots of warnings about what you will pay if you lose keys or change thermostat. Kitchen could you some assistance. Needs more pans and silverware. Smoke detector went off every time we used the oven or the toaster. Very close to beach. But you only have a good view if you stay in the top terrace. Otherwise there is a house between you and the beach. Elevator was not working when we got there. , however it did get...

Beautiful spot. Nice people, but we had an issue with the carbon monoxide detector chirping every 10 -15 minutes overnight. Called the maintenance person @ 1:00am. He tried fixing it but couldn't (it was hard wired). Got no sleep overnight (despite the very comfortable beds). At checkout the desk person just smiled and offered an apology. I hope to return...
