Read moreIf I could give a zero I would! We booked an oceanfront suite, staying from 19th-23rd celebrating family, my son’s bday and my daughter who deploys to the army on June 30. We had a 10 hour drive, the hotel attempted to charge our card several hours before checkin, we were notified because our card declined for fraud. We arrived around 5:30p, our suite was on the 10th floor, the elevator was hardly working, literally life chancing each trip, by our 4th day it was out of order, we had to take the stairs. It smelled like urine and mildew everywhere. I had to pee so bad, I rush through the door straight to the bathroom, the smell in the bathroom was so foul, like urine, poop and backed up plumbing, immediately I see there’s no toilet paper, no soap to wash my hands, there’s zero drawers in the sink, just wood holes, the tub was discolored and dirty, the shower curtain was yellow instead of white. I wash my hands at the kitchen sink just long enough to realize the water isn’t draining, that water stayed in that sink the same for the entire duration of our stay, we had to use the bathroom sink for everything. We had only 2 clean towels and 3 clean wash cloths for a room of 6, there’s so many gnats, and flies in the living room, smashed bugs on the sliding door to the balcony, the couch was dirty like someone wiped boogers on the arms of it, the tables have cup rims like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. We check the beds in the room for bugs, it smells of urine so strong, the blankets are stained as well as the double mattress protectors- nothing looked clean anywhere. The pull out bed had no linen, blankets or pillows, the mattress was very much not a mattress, it was springs, zero comfort. Everytime the doors closed the paint chipped off the walls. We never seen hotel staff on our floor at all, nobody ever offered service, never checked in. I never seen anyone cleaning anywhere our entire stay. The pool was not safe to swim in, very dirty, had a thick foam along the top and brown rim across the bottom and along the sides, I was afraid to breath in that room. We had to ask for toilet paper, trash bags, towels and linen, we were told on 2 separate days they would bring us clean blankets and linen but that never happened. The view on the balcony was nice but also sketchy, the concrete was chipped and some areas rusted. Why stay? After a 10 hour drive, with 4 kids it seemed more of a hassle to get another room, it was a holiday and our focus was our activities outside of that room, so we chose to tough it out. Icing on the cake - the first time I hear anything from hotel staff was 30 mins prior to checkout, it was housekeeping to tell us they hit our parked car. I was more than frustrated at this point, I voice my concern to the woman GM for everything and her response to me was, you’re car, that’s not my problem, (but the GM is who told her employee to move her car to the 2nd floor and what room we were in for her to tell us- we were parked on the 1rst floor) she said I’ll notify my mgr if your concerns. After leaving, we realized we left my partners $200 pair of shoes, call and ask them if they can put them up because we had other family still there who would be picking them up- they called a couple hours later after finding them- family arrived to pick them up and after handing them off they had the audacity to try to bribe us into leaving a good review. This hotel was a nightmare, the experience was robbery to say the least. Spend the couple extra hundred dollars and go down the strip some! They just collect your money, offer zero hospitality or empathy and take from the next working family. I literally seen all 5 of those employees sitting on a bench facing the beach together snacking and enjoying the view most of my trip. The worst experience my family has had, how many times do you get to change your hotel name before it...
Well I will start by saying that I was EXTREMELY worried about how our stay here would be due to the reviews that I had went through. My mother booked without reading any and based on pictures on the site. Upon arrival/check in (@12:30pm) we were immediately given our keys which is awesome because check in is not that early ( we did say at the time of booking we would arrive at 12:30). The lady at the front desk was pleasant, easy to work with and had a great attitude. We gathered our things and went to our room (7th floor 703) The room smelled clean and was nice a cool, which is great because it was HOT outside. There were NO BUGS AT ALL in this room the entire stay(thank god) . The room with the beds in it was clean ...the beds were well made and had all the basic needs although very dated. The beds were not the best comfort wise but they also weren't so bad we couldn't sleep...a mattress topper would help greatly! The "kitchen" area was clean but did not have a single dish or utensil one .... Maybe state bring your own in the description of the rooms so people will know ahead of time and come prepared. The furniture in the living room is VERY dated and minimal but works and wasn't dirty. The pullout couch was not comfortable but we had a queen size air mattress we blew up and placed it on top of the mattress and that worked fine . There is also plenty of room on the floor for one as well. The view from the room was GREAT. Bathroom was basic they had soap shampoo and conditioner in the shower ... We brought our own but their body wash smelled very good and there were towels , wash cloths and floor mats. The price we paid is pretty high for this room i will say. You can tell the HOTEL ( because this is by far NOT a resort) was run down pretty bad at one time... HOWEVER you can also tell that the owners have for sure made improvements. The space in the room is GREAT. I would suggest putting a fan (so glad we brought our own) or ac in the bedroom because there is only an ac in the living room... sleeping with the door open helps also. The workers at the hotel were all very personable and accommodating. The pool on the 8th floor was very small(12 person capacity 5ft deep) but it was nice to be able to take a quick dip after being on the beach all day. To the owners I would suggest getting some wet floor signs to protect yourself and warn others....there were several times that the halls were being mopped (made the hotel smell very nice and clean by the way) but there was no signage warning of wet floors. Another safety risk is the bath tub ...the bottom is pretty slick.. bathmats for the tub.would really help with this as it is a fall risk for everyone .....but especially the elderly or disabled. It would also benefit the company to place "watch your step" signs near the little "ramp" as you enter the hall to the rooms. All in all this was a pleasant place to stay as long as you don't expect top-notch hi end things you will be fine. If you want Resort quality and very nice amenities this isn't the place to be. But it worked for our little weekend getaway snd what didn't work we improvised and...
Read moreWe just checked out from a two night stay. We chose this hotel because everything looked great on the website, and it was in a great area. Also everything else was booked to fit our family of 6. As soon as we pulled up we were weary . Front desk was cordial and check in was easy. The parking garage is a joke for as many rooms as they have. We finally got parked after 10 minutes of trying to fit in the tight spots and got our things piled on to a luggage cart that was falling apart and went to the 10th floor to our room. The elevator definitely needed maintenance but we understood that. We got to the room and it was not at all as it was pictured on the website, the top lock on the door was completely torn off the door, the kitchen area was okay it included a mini fridge and a microwave and empty cupboards . The bedroom was hot and didn't have an AC unit and nothing blowing from the vent. Other than that the bedroom was okay but the floor was dirty and it smelled musty. After we got unpacked and settled a bit I noticed that there was a razor hanging in the shower and what I assumed was purple conditioner on the shower wall. The living room area was spacious and the desk was equipped with a lamp that had a cordless charger (only modern thing in the room ) the chair was your basic hotel chair but the pull out couch looked like it was from Grandmas house back in the 90's. The balcony was fine but the railing needed some TLC . The only thing that was great about the room was the view. I tried to reach the front desk but couldn't get a hold of anyone. Decided just to take care of the bathroom stuff myself and tried to stay positive as we were celebrating my daughter's 14th birthday. Finally got a hold of someone to ask about cooling the room and they said if we leave the living room AC on high long enough that it would eventually blow through the vent. Ok fine, next day we went and used the pool, it was small but it did its job. Later I took my daughters down to the beach and returned around 6 to the manager telling us the elevator was broken by a guest and it would be fixed by 8pm. Okay no problem so we trecked all 10 floors of stairs to our room . Okay it will be up in 2 hrs no problem. We left again and came back at 9 to the elevator still not working. I went to the desk to ask about the elevator and he seemed more concerned about finding out who broke the door than getting it fixed. Long story short, elevator was not fixed until morning (Luckily). At check out I voiced my concerns and she politely dismissed them. In all honesty this is not a resort it is a Motel on the beach and if we hadn't paid as much as we did for it and if it were advertised as a motel , knowing what I was getting into and I didn't sink $1,000 into it, it wouldn't have been a big deal but as we thought we were staying at a resort as advertised and the pictures looked great online, we were upset. I do not recommend this place at all especially...
