Remember, you are at the beach. Everything here is a tad pricey. Beach parking for 5-10 bucks within walking distance. Super friendly staff. I was greeted and seated immediately. I perused the breakfast menu, chose the $18.95 plus tax and tip breakfast buffet. It did *NOT* disappoint. Fresh French toast, waffles, biscuits, of course pancakes... Grits made right. Eggs for days; scrambled, and also scrambled with bacon pieces, and even over easy. There's crispy bacon pieces, skillet potatoes, regular bacon. Home made sweet butter! Breakfast sausage links. I didn't try everything, but all I had was fresh and delicious. The host came back at least two times to make sure I was happy. The guy attending the buffet checked with me 4x. Some other guy (manager?) also came by to make sure everything was perfect. It was. My waitress was also very sweet and friendly and checked on me appropriately while keeping the table cleared of dirty dishes, as did the host, who just cleared my last plate. Team effort here. I have 5 years restaurant experience, working, and plenty dining out too... This was awesome. Time for a nap.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good Service, Decent Buffet, But Nothing Memorable We recently visited Log Cabin Pancake House and had a pretty average experience overall. We opted for the breakfast buffet, which had a good variety of options — pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, and a few other staples. Everything was fresh and replenished regularly, but unfortunately, nothing really stood out in terms of flavor or quality. It felt like standard fare without any dishes that made us want to go back for seconds. What did stand out, however, was the service — our server was very attentive, friendly, and quick to clear plates and check on drinks. The staff overall seemed well-organized and efficient, which helped make the experience more pleasant. The restaurant has a charming, rustic vibe that fits the “log cabin” name, and it’s definitely a popular spot with families and large groups. That said, if you're looking for a truly memorable breakfast or standout pancakes, this may not be the place. It’s decent for a quick, no-frills breakfast, but we’d likely try somewhere new next time.

Overall, it's not bad. Think ordered food is going to be better than the buffet. We had both. My daughter and I got the buffet, and my wife, son, ordered a pioneer and log cabin. The wife also got a side of home fries and a cherry bomb mimosa. Total before tip $98.42, hearty price for a family of 4 for breakfast, my opinion. Buffet had a lot, but nothing overly stood out. Ordered food, they were happy with. Large fluffy pancakes and large eggs. We had about a 10-minute wait to sit, but after that, there was a huge line outside. They ran out of plates multiple times for the buffet. People were standing in line for 10+ mins waiting for just plates. Staff was friendly but disappeared for long times. Asked for some hot sauce and took a while to get it. The ketchup tasted like spaghetti sauce to me, actually thought it ruined my potatoes. Says Hunts on the bottle, but I don't think it is. I am not a ketchup snob at all, but it just didnt taste good. If you're in the area, there are much worse places you could go to. Unless you're starving, order off the menu.

First let give a HUGE shoutout to Ty! She was amazing, I mean top tier service! Now listen, this is a southern girls happy place. This review will be lengthy but stay with me. Let me start by saying we stumbled across this gem after missing breakfast at our hotel and I’m so thankful we missed it! If I could give Log Cabin 5000 stars I would. We’re a family of four with two young children. The kids had pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, and wheat toast. Let me tell y’all about the sweet butter on the pancakes, OMG it needs to be sold in stores! I mean we took it off the kids pancakes and put it on our toast OMG it was the best thing ever! I had the cheese omelette and added spinach, onions, and tomatoes. Let me say they are freshly cracked eggs which will ALWAYS win me over. I also had a side of grits and white toast. Let me take a minute to tell y’all how DELICIOUS the grits were and how the butter was overflowing in the BEST way. I literally felt like I was eating my great grandmothers grits, God rest her soul! Even the toast was superior. Like how did y’all make plain white toast taste like something out of a Michelin star restaurant? My partner had eggs, sausage, grits, and toast. She said it was the best breakfast she’s ever had. Now LAST but certainly not least, the freaking BREAKFAST POTATOES!!!! Hear me when I say this, if you don’t go for ANYTHING else, you MUST go for the breakfast potatoes. Yall I could’ve traded one of my kids for the recipe, I’m just kidding lol. They were the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had in my 34 years of living. We also enjoyed a strawberry mimosa and then we got the mimosa flight which came with four different flavors of our choice and there’s plenty to choose from. We didn’t get a single picture but we plan to go right back in the morning. Log Cabin deserves its flowers and global recognition. I can guarantee there’s no other breakfast place around like it. There’s a reason they’ve been in business for over 45 years. I hope and pray that many of us will get to enjoy it for another 45 years at least. Ty, thank you again from the family with the little boy who kept throwing his truck, sorry! Log Cabin, thank you for your southern hospitality and amazing food. I look forward to visiting VA Beach every year just to patronize your business. I hope that my review will help bring more customers in, especially during the...

Wow wow wow is all I can say about this little place on the beach. We are a pretty good size family so we knew we would have to wait some time to get in as not all places have a table that can adequately accommodate all of us at once, so we had to wait a few minutes( it was a beautiful wait). When we all got inside and took our seats we were met by 3 different people asking if we needed a baby seat or just to say hi. We were then met by our waitress who automatically had a smile on her face and was genuinely happy to be our waitress. Her name was Tyler and she was absolutely the face of that place. She made this experience worth it. She let us know that we should check out the buffet items before committing to buffet or menu and than make our decision accordingly. She was always happy she had a smile on her face, she was kind and generous. She was never frustrated with anything and was very very attentive. I could go on and on about her ( I would highly suggest her or to ask about her) but what set this place appart from any other restaurant we have gone to is that the owner was right there being involved with his staff, the guest and always happy and right on it. He plays around with his staff and is still professional in the same aspect. This place isn't the biggest place out there size wise but that what makes it so special, the staff, the food all of it is amazing. The buffet is all fresh food and the flavor really packs a punch from fresh fruits to biscuits and gravey.... rock on to this wonderful place. If ever you are in Virginia I highly highly recommend this place. Can't wait to visit it again. Thank you again Mason (owner) and Tyler (kick butt waitress) for making this experience the best one ever.... 5+++++++++ stars. From the Mooney family from New...

I'll start out by saying my family and I did not order any food here. We were in VA Beach for the Alice in Wonderland event on October 22nd. We had been walking around for a bit and wanted to get some drinks and chill for a little while. So we went here. My mom got a couple of cups of coffee and I had a soda and a water. My son got a water. And my daughter I belive had a fountain drink and also a water. We did not order waters bc we are cheap. We ordered them bc that's what we wanted and we weren't hungry. We just wanted to get refreshed and then continue our game. The waitress was very very nice. The man that was working, seating people, was not nice at all. I believe he may have been either a manager or the owner. He kept making super rude faces at us. So I looked around trying to see why. There were other people in there so we weren't keeping them from closing. Also, there were plenty of available seats so we were not keeping other people from being seated. I suppose we just weren't spending enough money? Then at one point he actually pointed at us and loudly "pfft." Like whatever sound you think of when you read that word is what he did. While pointing at us. We still tipped $10. But it was just rude to be that way. The waitress was great. Sorry we didn't spend more. Now we...
