Booked this hotel for our 4th of July Vacation for 4 Adults and a child. We stayed in the apartments above the parking garage and we were quite disappointed in the room. Lets start with the Cons....
The floor was filthy and sticky!! I couldnt walk around without getting black feet. I ended up wearing my shoes everywhere in the room. We were never told there wouldnt be any utensils or kitchen appliances. We only learned after the fact that we could have rented a bin containing everything for the kitchen. Any movement at all, including walking around the room, made the whole building shake. It's not attached to the Main building of the Binns Motor Inn and is standing on 6 stilts. It feels very unsafe. Our balcony was small. We wished the balcony was a bit bigger so all of us could have sat outside. The railing for the balcony was loose and had to keep telling my daughter to not lean on it. Noisy Neighborhood. I dont know if it was just beacuse it was 4th of July, but we kept hearing fireworks at ALL TIMES during the night. Walls were paper thin. We could hear everything our neighbors were talking about.
PROS: The walk to the boardwalk is very convenient and close. We loved that aspect. Perfect for families that want to get to the boardwalk or beach right away. The pools are exceptionally maintained. Both pools were great and honestly it was one of my favorite parts about this hotel. The rooftop terrace is pretty cool to hangout on and watch the fireworks. Plus not too many people used it and we were up there all by ourselves every time. There are plenty of restaurants and foodaries all within walking distance. Convenient bike rentals only a block away by the boardwalk and golf cart rental right across the street from the hotel.
All in all, I'm not sure I would stay here again, but given it was the cheapest we found, we had no other choice. The furniture definitely needs to be ungraded though. I didn't put that as a pro or con because it didnt bother me that much. The Hotel is from the 50s and I kind of expected the furniture...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting. There was an issue when we checked in, not only with us, but with several other people in the lobby at the time. They over booked several hotel rooms. They even gave one couple keys to the room and when they walked into "their" room there was someone else in the shower! Before you hand the keys over to someone else how do you not realize that that room was already taken?!! Clearly there is no organization here. After we finally checked in and got to our room we realized how dirty it was. Not to mention tiny. My boyfriend and I went to check the bed and sheets to make sure they were clean and to our surprise, someone else's hair was all over our sheets. Not just one piece of hair...Clumps of hair. When we went to the lobby to ask for a new set of sheets the guy said he had to come up and see for himself as if he did not believe us. He then pointed out that it could be the maids hair and at that point seemed to be just making excuses. The maid came in to change our set of sheets. Her hair color didn't even match the hair we saw on the sheets which is even more unsettling because that tells us the room wasn't even properly cleaned. By this point we were already too grossed out between the sheet incident and the bathroom. I would not be comfortable showering in that bathroom...Everything is out of date and the room is so small it feels like a jail cell. We packed all of our stuff and left and checked into another cleaner nicer hotel. We did not receive a refund at all. Save yourself your money and do NOT make the same mistake we did. Go...
Read moreIt certainly is not the Ritz lol. But if you're looking to enjoy Wildwood without spending an arm and a leg, it'll do just fine! First off, the staff is great. Very friendly, helpful, and relaxed. The location is nice for a few reasons. It shares a parking lot and pool with the motel next door so there's plenty of room. It also felt like a safe area, and is easily walkable to the boardwalk and some of the main attractions. The fact that they're so pet friendly is a HUGE plus if that's something you need to consider. The website said it was $20 per pet, per night, but when I arrived I was told it was $30. No big deal to me for the convenience of being able to bring my dog. They were even able to rearrange things so I could have a first floor room when I requested it as my dog was recovering from a leg injury.
Really, the only negative thing I can say is that the rooms could definitely benefit from an overhaul. The beds were squeaky and not very comfortable. There were holes in the walls and the paint was very dingy. The bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned thoroughly. The chain lock on our door was broken. Cigarette burns all over the comforters. I will say though that it looked like the floors were recently redone which was nice. Also, the AC in our room worked really well and the water pressure in the shower is good.
Bottom line- if you're low maintenance and are looking for a cheap place to stay with your pet, definitely come here! But if you're a neat freak or a picky sleeper, you probably...
