Room is beyond small, bathroom is even smaller. As most reviews say, The only good thing about staying here is how close it is to the boardwalk. We booked through the Calypso and they booked us at the happy days (Weird), We thought we were staying at the Calypso so I didn’t really look into this place. Parking is a joke. They say they have multiple parking lots but nobody showed us where they are. We originally parked at the Calypso since that’s where we thought we were staying, They said the happy days is right behind them but we can’t stay in the parking lot. There’s only one parking lot as far as we know and if you leave after say 5:00 I highly doubt you’ll have a parking spot anywhere around. We had to pay $25 to park literally next door on Friday and then on top of it Saturday there was also nowhere to park so we had to pay $30 to park. Absolutely insane. Hairs in the shower, Stains on the sheets and pillow cases, disgusting microwave, Literally zero security all doors and windows are open all the time.
AND as if the stay wasn’t bad enough. We came back Saturday evening and realized housekeeping had been in our room. Not a big deal but we did not have the sign on our door requesting housekeeping, Plus our toilet was clogged. Talked to management who was arrogant and did not care at all about anything. The excuse was they have a “Busy weekend”. And instead of being understanding or at least compassionate that our almost $600 stay (Plus our seven hour drive to get here) was terrible they just yelled. So that’s cool. Don’t waste your time or money. Plenty of other hotels around with parking + a room in front of...
Read moreOverall it was worth the price. Hotel literally 1 block from the boardwalk. For the few days we were there it served our purpose. The rooms are small, but realize that this is 1 of the older inns from back in the day ( rumor has it the Rat Pack stayed here) You have a private bath (also small & need a lil more space where the toilet is - take a lil bit of space from the closet area, a suggestion since us big people need to use the facilities too ;-) ) Any issues with the room are taken care of right away ( our shower head) This was 1 of the cleanest places we've stayed in. Sapho Hospitality Group owns this property. the 1 next door & the 1 around the corner & the 3 places look well maintained. Parking is a lil tight, but they have an overflow lot less than a block away, that helps a lot. You really can walk to most anything from the location. You may have to check in at either of the properties (The Quebec & the 1 next door) not that big of a deal...... The best part was Debbie...She is so knowledgeable, friendly & a true asset to the owners. If you need info, ask her.....The lil touches also mean so much. I told her it was our mini honeymoon & once we checked in & got to our room, there was a bottle of champaign waiting for us along with a card. We were truly touched. Would totally recommend Happy Days & look forward to going back there in the future & would want the...
Read moreThis hotel was worth the price. My boyfriend and I were looking for the cheapest possible hotel for 2 right out of college and only paid a little over $100 a night. The room was small, don't get me wrong, but it didn't bother us. We were on vacation, so we were at the beach or on the boardwalk most of the time anyway. There was a bed, fridge, microwave, and bathroom, which was all we really needed. I will say that, due to the limited area for the toilet and the limited space in the shower, I would not suggest this place for heavier set individuals. It was a bit difficult fitting into the space to use the bathroom. Other reviewers mentioned that the check in process was annoying, but it was no hassle. We simply had to go right next door, a few feet away, to check in at the next building. The only complaint we had the whole time was that they asked us to set out our towels at noon, then didn't get us new ones till about 2:30 or 3pm, when we usually wanted to take showers around 1 when we got back from the beach. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay and aren't overly picky, I...
