I paid for a king bed The first room I was put in was a full bed, the phone was in the corner of the room on the floor and didn’t work. The tv didn’t work. The window in the bathroom was taped shut I could not open it. The room was also so small and the reason I asked for a king bed was I knew the room would be bigger and I had just finished camping for weeks and needed to organize. So I ask for a room change. I make sure everything works check for bed bugs and call it a day. By the night time I saw ants on the sink and the day before my checkout I was making the bed and find a bug which I think was a roach in the bed. I know this place isn’t the ritz but I expect it to be bug free and somewhat clean… For people just sleeping here and exploring the Grand Canyon sure it’s a great deal but not for me. Bare minimum is that things work, it’s clean and there are no bugs. I don’t think that’s asking for too much. Not like I’m complaining that there is no pool. The staff was nice enough especially the person who cleaned the rooms she was sweet and apologized but also said that’s common for this area…like what? I mentioned this when I was checking out and received no option for my last night to be comped or anything of the nature. To top it all off because the phone didn’t work I couldn’t even c all and complain to the office and the office where I was was closed so I had to go to the other office and complain about the first room. They did change my rooms but the hassle alone of moving my stuff out from one room to the other and realizing this room was also having issues.

I found room 224 dirty, they replaced it with 218, this one was also dirty, I had to change at least the bed sheets myself, wi fi only connects outside the room so no wi fi inside rooms, now it's late and I'm forced to stay the night. these rude and unkind staff people, made fun of me four times. I specifically ask that the entire cost be reimbursed, but customer care service...

Positive: N/A Negative: I booked this hotel because of the Motel 6 brand name. What wasn't disclosed was that this is an old hotel recently acquired by a nearby Motel 6 & not yet renovated. Not even wifi was available in the room, & we had to go outside to use...
