AMAZING New Addition to Williams, AZ. This FREE exhibition of fossilized Dinosaur Poo a.k.a “coprolites” is a definite must see attraction when passing through.

It’s the perfect little pop-in attraction that offers a fun and educational experience for the whole family, without requiring an extended time commitment (I spent 20 minutes visiting). And for a museum full of poo, the potty humor is perfectly nuanced to where it keeps the experience fun, without being crude. Did I mention it’s FREE?!?

The layout of the museum is intuitive and offers a seamless experience between exhibits. Patrons can browse the beautiful fossil displays along the walls, while others shop the middle merchandise aisles, which contain a variety of quality gifts for any Dino-loving individual, at prices that are family friendly.

I purchased a stuffed animal for my son, that was hand made by a Navajo artist specifically for the Poozeum, and two t-shirts, for a total cost that was less than taking the family to Chick-fil-a. It felt good to not only support a local business, but the stuffed animal purchase also benefits the Navajo people, which was an added bonus for me.

Whether you are waiting for the train to the Grand Canyon, or just passing through, be sure to add this gem to your itinerary. Five...

While staying in the charming little town of Williams, Arizona, I stumbled upon the Poozeum while searching for family-friendly activities—and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! As a parent of three kids under 10, I’m always on the lookout for something unique and entertaining to keep their curious minds occupied. The Poozeum definitely delivered.

It’s a small museum, but absolutely packed with charm, laughs, and fascinating facts. The best part? Admission is completely free! We were staying just a five-minute walk away, and after our first visit, my kids were begging to go back later that afternoon. Unfortunately, it was already closed for the day—but that’s just a testament to how much fun they had.

The exhibits sparked tons of giggles and “ewws” (in the best way possible), and the souvenir shop had some hilarious and surprisingly educational finds. One of my kids is beyond excited to wear his Poozeum shirt to school.

It’s the most fun you’ll ever have talking about number two!

If you’re in the area and traveling with kids—or just want to enjoy something refreshingly different—do yourself a favor and check this place out. It’s quirky, it’s free, and it’ll leave you smiling (and maybe snorting)...

Do I skip it because it is a museum or do I go in because of the intrigue with it being a poop museum? Visiting the Poozeum was not a mistake! It is fascinating the amount of information I learned and the number of times I laughed. The owner of the museum can answer any question about fossils or coprolites, no matter how scientific or in-depth you get. Seeing the world's largest dino poop and other fossils showing what was in their stomach and even fossils whose final fart is saved for eternity in amber. Freaking fascinating. I'm really lovin' the shirts and coffee mugs we got. Definitely a must-see in Williams! Oh, if you are looking for something else to see in the area, I'd recommend the Grand Canyon as a secondary...

The Poozeum in Williams, Arizona, is a delightful destination for anyone interested in dinosaur history, especially families with young children. This quirky museum offers an engaging and educational experience with its unique exhibits focusing on dinosaur coprolites (fossilized dung). Our son had an absolute blast exploring the displays and learning fascinating facts about dinosaurs in a fun and approachable way. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit. The Poozeum is a must-visit spot for a fun, memorable, and slightly offbeat adventure in Williams. Highly recommended!

My wife wanted to go to this ‘museum’ and I wasn’t convinced and I ‘Poo Pooed’ the idea. But I was happily surprised. It exceeded my expectations and the shop owner is so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the field work and the education about fossils of all kinds. If you are in Willams, AZ make time to see this one of a kind museum. The artifacts and the story and study of them are worth the visit. Who knew that the Pooseum would be a ‘Don’t miss it’ experience on our trip.
