Authentic, fun and an amazing way to experience the Grand Canyon.

My wife visited the Grand Canyon on The Train 21 years ago. She has talked about how great it was as a child. So I promised to take her once we had a family.

It was exactly the same as she remembered and the pictures show, so it was authentic.

The morning started with getting our tickets from an authentic looking old school station. We purchased online but you pick the pictures up at the window. You then go and watch a Cowboy skit which is funny.

The train boards very promptly!! We purchased Pullman class going up and Coach back. The Pullman class is the old school cars with no a/c and opening windows. To me, this was better than the Coach class on return. We could look at the windows and feel the air on our faces.

The train car attendant was awesome and gave history stories along the way. A guy came through and played songs on the guitar. And one of the best parts was the “train robbery”. The kids loved it.

Overall, it is a pricey trip. A little over $300 for us all. But it was an...

My son loved it! We traveled 4 hours to get there. My only upsetting issue is: We wanted to see Santa and the ticket office said it would open at 4 (we got there about 5 minutes after 4 to board the 5:30 train). We waited in line and they didnt open the doors until 4:30. The line barely inched forward so we got out of line at 5:10 to get on the train. We came back to the station and the lady at the door to see Santa said he is going on break until 8:20! Get 2 Santas to trade out. Or something. That was upsetting because it means something to my son. He believes the Santa there is real and others at the mall or at other places are "pretend." We left at 7:45 because we still had to make our way home and his...

We just got back from a short vacay to the Grand Canyon Hotel and Railway. I just wanted to do a shout-out for our train host Sheryl! She was so personable and knowledgeable about the train, the ride and what to do at the Village. She had a great sense of humor and you could just tell that she LOVED her job! I would take the ride again, just for her! You'll want to get at least Coach class to make sure you have air conditioning. I also recommend taking your own snacks, as the snack car line gets long very fast. You might also consider getting the box lunch at the hotel, so you don't have to worry about getting wrapped up in a long restaurant line at...

This is hotel associated with the Grand canyon train.I purchased a package that included the train trip of the hotel room and buffet dinner and breakfast.unfortunately I was unable to stay for the duration of the vacation I had purchased but I did stay one night and also had the dinner.the dinner was a buffet it was a good time not full of starches but full of meats fishes and dessert and a good salad bar. The room I had gotten was excellent. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The dinner also came with entertainment.

My wife and I had a truly Awesome day. Train ride to the Grand Canyon and back to Williams was a truly memorable event we will never forget. Not only is seeing the Grand Canyon and a train ride Awesome. But all the staff there and back had the most unbelievable customer service that we have Not seen in a long time. Thus is an experience we want to share with all of our family and friends. We'll worth the money and time to do at least once. As for us, we will be doing g it again!!!!
