Motel 6 Williams. We arrived at the Motel 6 just after 3pm and checked in the person behind the reception was friendly upon entering the room we noticed that there was blood around the sink area of the hotel room at first we thought it was paint but after wetting some tissue we realised that it was blood as it smudged. When we asked if this could be cleaned the attitude of the person at reception changed to being hostile and there was the suggestion by a person with a clipboard who was obviously a hotel employee said that if we check out before 8am you could get a refund for the next two days even though check out was normally 11am. We also pointed out to them that there was tissue in one bed but the other bed was fine. I also asked them to check out the air con which the receptionist did and confirmed it was okay when she visited our room. When she was in there we asked if someone could clean the blood off the walls around the sink and issue us with clean towels that would help. She just ignored most of what I said. She then said let me know what you want to do||We said we would discuss what we wanted to do and while we were alone in the room we discussed what we wanted to do. However we were interrupted by the phone ringing and the same person demanding that we come down to reception. ||We informed her that we were still discussing what to do but a very short while after we were disturbed yet again with the same person demanding that we come down to reception immediately||Well we got down there and was told that the higher up (work that one out) has decided that we check out now or we wouldn’t get a refund and that there was no cleaners to clean the room so the blood couldn’t be removed. ||We said then we need to find alternative accommodation and we need thirty minutes to arrange this. She said you can’t have thirty minutes you have to check out now or you can’t have a refund. I asked is this for real. Yes she snapped. They were demanding us to leave because we had pointed out about blood in the room.||She said there was no cleaners until later tomorrow. We asked if there was anyone else who could clean it||She replied at first saying we have no cleaners. I said can you clean it and eventually she agreed to come up and clean it. She hardly spoke when she came up and did a pretty poor job of it.||We telephoned around for other accommodation but there was no vacancies as it was the weekend. And now we were past their deadline of thirty minutes to leave or no refund. We decided to buy some cleaning materials and we cleaned the room. All blood was removed and everything else had a good going over to make sure it was habitable.||The receptionist was to say hostile was putting it mildly. By cleaning the room ourselves tells all future travellers that the cleanliness of rooms is not up to standard. We slept in the bed that was the cleanest keeping well away from the bed where there was tissue underneath the sheet which we had found when we checked the bed upon arrival||We have stayed here before but never again standards have certainly dropped||We were hardly in the room for the three days only returning to sleep late on. This hotel lets Williams down. Williams is a lovely place right on Route 66 unfortunately so is this hotel ||On the morning we were due to depart We even received a phone call 35 minutes prior to check out reminding us that check out was at 11am time of the call 10:25. How often do guests get reminded of this not very often. It is the first time we have ever heard of it, as if they could not wait for us to leave.||We videoed the room and took photos prior departure for obvious reasons to make sure this hotel could not say anything untoward. ||We know TripAdvisor allows one star but we will give our rating out of 10 and that is a big fat ZERO yes 0/10||Please don’t respond offering to discuss this further. Nothing can change our mind of how aggressive your female employee was and made us feel as if we were in the wrong for reporting a filthy room. We were disgusted by the filthy room but your receptionist was very very hostile and in our opinion should not be employed in any establishment that deals with the public. Worst experience ever in all our...

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a night, 2/21-2/22 in room 120, ended up booking here since it has 24 hr check-in and I was arriving late at night. Was told check out is @ 11am, as most places are.
First, as I enter the room I notice the top privacy latch on the door is completely ripped out. Just the normal lock is there which is a little odd. I look out the window and see the pane/ glass of the window is displaced from the metal frame, looked easy to push in from the outside, which didn’t make me feel great either.
In the morning, I noticed there was black mold in the shower, which is bad for anyone but I have a particularly bad sensitivity to it so I wasn’t too pleased. Should be noted the rags and towels provided were stained and dirty as well.
So I’m getting ready for my day, around 10:20 am. While I was getting dressed, I was walked directly in on by housekeeping. TMI, yes, while I was changing. There was no knock, me or my boyfriend would’ve heard it since the hotel was dead silent and we were close to the door.
Very shortly after, I gather my things and as I’m checking out I ask the front desk concierge, Felicia or Alicia, “check out is at 11am, right?” . Before I can tell her what happened I’m met with her snapping at me very rudely and saying something along the lines of “we start at 10am, they knocked several times so it’s your fault” and I was taken aback, said what happened and how there was no knock, she said very aggressively no, they did knock and then fully cut me off and started helping another customer.
So, place isn’t super upkept, I get walked in on, in my locked room, was not once made aware I’d be disturbed before 11am. Especially considering I got in at 2am and was directly told check out is 11am. Just to be told differently, AFTER my privacy was invaded. Wouldn’t have gotten walked in on either if there was a proper privacy latch or even a do not disturb sign. Better yet, if check out is at 11am, no one should even been “knocking” on that door until 11am. Oh wait, but no one knocked at all! Let me make it very clear I got not a single apology from housekeeping walking in or the from front desk concierge Alicia at all, instead I got yelled at by miss Alicia (name could be Felicia) .
I’m genuinely baffled at the incompetence at hand here and how preventable this was in the first place. I’m also baffled at how I reached out to corporate twice and got no response from email, called and still got no follow up or resolution at all, so this behavior is seemingly condoned by motel 6.
Besides the unkemptness, blatant disrespect and horrible customer service, it just does not seem like a safe place to stay, especially if you’re a solo-traveling woman. You never know what peoples intentions are especially with weird situations like this. Please be weary, they don’t care about your experience or...
Read moreMy husband and I are from the Phoenix area and decided to drive up north for a couple of days. 🌲 All of the motels that are in downtown Williams/Route 66 are older buildings. There are a few new motels that are off the main street, but they were considerably more expensive. We stayed 2 nights here and with the money we saved on lodging, we could afford to eat at one of the local restaurants each night. 😀
Their check-in time was at 1pm which is really early for many motels and check-out at 11am. 🕐
This Motel 6 location is easy to find and makes a great base if you are spending time in Williams or headed for the Grand Canyon south rim for the day. Our room had 2 queen-sized 🛏🛏beds and the air conditioner made the room very comfortably cool. I liked that the floor was wood or faux-wood instead of a dingy old carpet. It definitely gave the room a newer, cleaner feel.
There was no fridge or microwave in the room. No breakfast in the morning, but they did offer free coffee and they have vending machines and an ice machine. They are also in walking distance of restaurants, a Family Dollar Store, and a Safeway grocery store, which has a Starbucks inside.
The shower had hot water and decent water pressure. They do not provide shampoo or conditioner, but do have a small bar of soap and towels for you to use. My husband and I are average-sized in height and felt like the toilet was a little bit low or on the smaller size, but it functioned fine.
We didn't have any pets with us, but they are pet-friendly here and have a little dirt/grass area to relieve your dog and for smokers to sit as all the rooms are all smoke-free. They have a small indoor pool and a hot tub, but the hot tub was being repaired while we were there. They also have a coin operated washer and dryer.
They have a display full of Arizona travel brochures in the lobby and a small area to drink your morning coffee. The young man at the front desk was polite and helpful explaining where our room was. I believe they have 2 floors and he did ask if we wanted upstairs or downstairs. I didn't see an elevator, so I am glad we chose downstairs.
If you stay more than one night, housekeeping does not come and change your sheets or towels. If you do need something extra, I believe you could ask at the front desk.
There is a space under the door, in the room, that I have been noticing more and more at many of the hotels and motels we stay at. We just put a towel under the door to keep the light and sound from coming in while we sleep. The nights we were there, it was NOT very noisy while we slept. In my experience, you will hear hustle and bustle in the morning hours because people have places to go or are ready to check-out and go home.
The room was a nice size with the 2 beds, a small table and 2 chairs, and a flat screen TV. The lighting in the room seemed very dim at night. The air conditioning worked...
