I visit Williams once a year to camp, and I like to relax in a hotel now and then between campsites. It is a newer hotel which inspired me to try it, since I figured the rooms would be cleaner than an older hotel. And they were. The employee who checked me in is a class act, treating me with dignity, respect, and welcome. He would benefit any company in a customer-facing position. The housekeeper also had quality customer service asking if I need any service when I saw her in the hallway. I like how the tip goes to who cleaned the room for me and not who cleans the room for the next guest. As a clean-freak and germaphobe, the room 106 met my standard of expectations. The only constructive criticisms I could offer was the little water filter in the Keurig had a layer of dust I had to clean out before use, and the bathroom handtowel had a stain. Might check those things. I would have preferred organic Keurig coffee pods. And the TV in 106 didnt work correctly and I was too tired to request help (no wifi for youtube, channel guide was off by a channel) Otherwise it was a perfect stay, the laundry facility was clean, and my clothes got nice and clean better than the laundromat in town, and the gym looked nice but didn't get a chance to use it. The pool table is a nice perk. Just wish there was a sauna or hot tub because I have Fibromyalgia (chronic pain arthritis). The Rewards Points charges for a room were reasonable. Some hotels cost more for points than to pay cash (which makes no sense), but this one I got some good savings by paying with points. Very blessed to rest and relax here again. In room 103 the TV works great except the voice text feature on Youtube does not work and it would be cool if it did. Not sure why this review goes to tripadvisor instead of choicehotels, but maybe it will go to them too. Heading out of town soon but might be back next year for another stay. Lastly, there isn't really any RV parking here. I have a 24ft class C and there is only 1 space it fits...
Read moreWe weren't expecting a lot from this hotel, it being a small place and so competitively priced. It was, honestly, the best hotel of our week (Vegas, Grand Canyon, Hollywood) The room was large and very clean, comfortable bed, and the sofa bed was also very comfy - all too often our son complains that his extra bed isn't comfy, but this was great. We all slept so well! We didn't find the sofabed made up when we arrived, and it was very late at night, but the manager on duty was great. He found me sheets, blankets, a comforter. However, when we folded out the bed fully, it was already made up 😃 You have a Keurig in the room, and a fridge and microwave, so if you're there a couple of days you can sort your own breakfast or dinner. Theres a small bar downstairs, and a laundry room, so you can do a wash and dry if you need to. Plenty of parking, although we had a huge SUV, so had to wiggle a bit when we arrived there late.
There's no breakfast provided, but there is a Safeway across the street (Route 66!!) with a Starbucks (be prepared for a long wait), so we had muffins from the store and coffee - there are a couple of small tables too. For a fantastic start to your day, though, we took advice from the hotel manager and went to Annie's diner. It was, hands down, a truly fantastic breakfast. Would definitely recommend that (see separate review) One night, we ate at the Grand Canyon Brewery - also great, and an easy walk from the hotel. I'd recommend everyone stay a night or two in Williams, if you're doing 66 or the Canyon. The town has a lot going for it, and we really loved it. The Ellesworth Hotel was a huge...
Read moreI got the roll handicap suite. While it looked nice, they had problems The facilities were not up to par for what handicap people need. Let’s start with the bed. It was way too high to climb into for anybody especially a handicap person. When trying to get in, the mattress moved off the pedestal. I’m glad my son was here to help me.. now let’s turn to the shower while it was a rolling shower for a wheelchair handicap person for anyone who was a wheelchair bound. It was a death trap for handicap people that could walk. It needs ingress and egress grab bars for anyone walking into the shower. All the bars are really low.. when getting out of the shower there is nothing to hold onto you and there is no place to put your towels so they’re ready for you while you’re in the shower to dry off. Rooms with normal showers that you can step over a small lip didn’t have grab bars either not handicap equipped. The chair was very uncomfortable and trying to use it in the living room. Finally , the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet properly. On the positive side room was clean, neat and well stocked there is a great restaurant next-door and they have Tesla...
