Modest furnishings, not everything is new decor, but modernized bathrooms, fresh paint, everything in good repair and ... Drumrole... super clean! I am a pretty picky person on rooms, but this small quaint motel is a bargain.. perfect spot on active cute main street in town... Lots to do and see.. there was a recreation of an old west gun slingers shootout down road.. awesome little town... Worth taking some extra time and visiting here on your way to the grand canyon. The motel has free wifi, microwave, coffee pot, mini fridge, cable and small dining table. Cozy and modest mom and pop place.. budget friendly, quiet. Room is handicap entry, however bathrooms are not ada. Low toilets, not wheelchair friendly.. most wouldn't go through door, showers are tub/shower combos. Also.. cash option on room with no credit card. Understands the various traveling needs of today's family. Solid 4 stars. (I'm not big on decor and everything matching... I appreciate cleanliness, having towels ready in room, coffee on hand, and everything in good repair, things that easily fall to side at big chains.. the owners here are proud of their property, and keep it well... If you are looking for shiny big chain hotel, keep...
Read moreI'd like to begin with the obvious, this was a budgeted stay in Arizono for sight seeing and visits to the Grand Canyon. With that said, please understand that the hotel is NOT a luxurious hotel. It is exactly what it says it is , a Budget Host Inn. Now that we have established that, the stay was PERFECT. A very humble establishment in a GREAT location. Management was very humble and polite. We drove from deep south Texas and arrived close to 1am, and we were still greated with a smile from a half asleep manager. We stayed a whole week and had NO issues whatsoever. I highly recommend anyone to stay there. Now if your looking for luxury, room service, cooked meals brought to your room, then keep looking. This place is a very humble place that feels like home in an amazing location. No hidden gimmicks its a Budget Host Inn for people who prefer to spend money on sight seeing, souvenirs, eating out and visiting state parks. I'd stay there again in a heart beat. Thank you to the management for your politeness and...
Read moreI’m only on my first of two nights here and I’m already severely disappointed. Our room was nearly $200 for two nights with three people, and definitely not worth that price. We have two full beds in our room. When we pulled back the covers, which we hadn’t used yet, one bed had old crumbs on the mattress cover while the other had stray hairs (possibly pubic hairs) on the mattress cover. Both beds have stains all over the sheets, as if they don’t use any bleach. We called the front desk to get new linens on the bed. The man (owner?) seemed disgruntled & hung up on me after asking what room number we were in. Shortly after, 2 people came to change the sheets but not the dirty mattress covers. Once I pointed out that there were crumbs on one of the covers, they simply wiped them off and continued to put new sheets on. Clearly hygiene is not a priority for them, which is disgusting considering the price. Definitely would not stay here again or recommend it, unless you like stray hairs or crumbs...
