Hanoi Carina Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Every aspect of this place was horrible. The reviews must be paid for because they in NO way correspond to the actual hotel. I have been in my fair share of places backpacking for the past few months, I dont need anything fancy and definitely didn’t expect it but when it comes to dirty and moldy I draw the line. Staff/owners are rude, their kids are loud and running around at all hours of the day, and the rooms are a complete health hazard. We checked-in for our 4 night booking and got a room with no window, covered in an inch of dust all over, no running AC, dirty bed sheets, hair on bath towels, black mold on the walls and in the bathroom, plus a sink that did not drain. They told us we could change rooms on the next day, so we decided go give it a chance and see what the new room would look like the next day. Although it was a bigger room, the quality of the room did not change. We asked for a refund for our remaining nights as we were not going to stay, they told me AGODA had to refund me - which this was a WHOLE ordeal, almost a whole month of AGODA saying they hadn’t received a response from the hotel and then finally saying the hotel denied a refund! Absolutely ridiculous, we stayed 1/4nights in a terrible room and then had to move elsewhere. Also when we politely said we would not be staying the woman started angrily yelling at us in Vietnamese! Haven’t had this bad of an experience in all my years of travel, disappointing Agoda even has a partnership with them. Don’t listen to the ‘good’ review,...

This place is really good and I'm not the one who hired me to review. I'm a real customer. I admit that the first time I saw it, I was shocked, but I stayed here for eight nights. I slept well and very comfortable. And I like it the most, the bathroom is the size of everything is very good. Sleep comfortably and comfortable. You will feel the comfort zone. The hotel owner is very cute, including their children, or maybe it's because I like children. They serve me very well. Help me as much as much as possible and friendly. I stayed here for eight nights, I didn't find anything and feel more comfortable. Thank you very much. I hope I can stay here and come to Hanoi again...

If you are NOT a solo traveler and can’t bear living in authentic Asian middle class experience than don’t book here.

Yes the room isn’t particularly nice but hey everything is working for me. The bed is okay, the AC is working, the shower is working. Perfectly fine if you are a traveler and don’t spend majority of time inside.

The hotel is perfectly placed in Old Quarter, so if you need to take a short rest from Hanoi’s humidity you can do it very quickly.

Don’t be shocked if you are entering the hotel when the family is having dinner or the kids are having tantrum haha. Just be respectful and nice, the owner...
