A hotel where you feel wonderful! I have visited many countries in Asia, Africa, America and Europe, but in no hotel have I met such nice and involved hotel staff. Since I made the reservation through booking com, they also contacted me on WhatsApp where they asked me if they could offer me transport from the airport, if I wanted optional excursions, if they could help me, what kind of beds I would like in the room. You feel safe when the hotel staff discusses everything with you in advance. Arriving at the hotel, they welcomed us with free tea, coffee, bananas and rice cake. They checked us in 4 hours early, plus they upgraded us to a superior room with a balcony and city view. They put the card in our phone, they called us a taxi when we were going into town, they taught us where we can eat well. Grade 10 staff! The hotel is very well positioned. You can reach the sights on foot. The room was very clean, with a big, comfortable bed, with fine linen, the towels smelled of flowers. The best smelling towels of our travels! Also the shampoo and bath soap smelled good. The water is very warm in the hotel. They have bath slippers in the rooms. The rooms are nicely decorated with a large TV and a spacious fridge. The quality-price ratio is excellent! I would come back anytime with pleasure and confidence! Thank you Hanoi Center...
Read moreGreat location, situated in the middle of the old quarter, this place is walking distance to many sight seeing spots, cafes, bars and food places. There’s also a handy Circle K mini mart conveniently located just along the road, a few seconds walk away for any snack and drink needs.|I cannot fault the staff at this place, their service was great and they were extremely attentive, communicating pre-arrival and helping us to organise airport transfer when checking-out. The lobby and dining area are also decorated very nicely, providing a nice welcome to the hotel.|As for the rooms, the cleanliness was not to a great standard. The shower grout and tiles are covered in mould and shower head was extremely dirty. Our air-con also kept intermittently going off and we kept having to reset by removing and re-inserting the room key.|I also did not realise when booking that this hotel offered rooms with no window, which is unfortunately what we landed with given our late check-in when arriving to Hanoi. If I had known this was a possibility, I would have paid a bit extra to ensure we had access to a window and fresh air or alternatively chosen another hotel.|The hotel was pretty cheap, but even in terms of value for money I would have expected a better standard of cleanliness in the bathroom and access to a window. Some areas definitely need a...
Read moreHotel looks like nothing in the pictures. The decoration is nice and that’s all. Very tiny rooms, I made sure I had booked a room with a window and I was given a room with a window to the hotel corridor! The aircon was very noisy and sounded like it needed maintenance. We negotiated an upgrade and free breakfast to make it up for the bad impression, they asked us to cancel the booking on Booking.com (so we couldn’t give them a bad review). Every other guest we spoke in the hotel was unhappy with the hotel and rooms. We moved to a bigger room the next day. Woke up, had brekkie and when I tried to get into the room to get ready for my day tour the door wasn’t opening anymore. The key pass had ran out of battery. They asked for a guy to come and fix it but I couldn’t wait as my tour guide was on the way to pick me up and all my belongings were inside the room. They finally found the physical key to open the door and I managed to get in. It was just trouble after trouble. The staff was nice but it’s just too annoying having them trying to fix things all the time that should just work properly. There was also a leak behind the toilet. Breakfast starts too late if you want to go on day trips that you need to be ready by 7:30am it’s very rushy. The only good thing was...
