Huong's Family Homestay in the heart of Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi March 2024 We three sisters stayed in Huong's Family Homestay. The two rooms were up the narrow stairs and it was a very pleasant surprise to have plenty of space with everything very clean. There was a little balcony leading to a spotless bathroom. From the other room there was also another small balcony. The beds were hard as is always the case in Vietnam anywhere we stayed.
Despite being right in the heart of the busy Hoan Kiem District it was very quiet. Our host Thinh was very kind and helpful, spoke reasonably good English and gave us lots of good advice. The accommodation was very close to Train Street where you can have a drink and a bite to eat from one of the many establishments while you wait for the train to come thundering past at close quarters. Sounds weird but was actually really fun. Don't be put off by the shabby entrance to Huong's Family Homestay. It's a very good place to stay for those...

Read more"I had a great stay at Huong's Family Hostel for two nights. The location is excellent, with the famous Train Street just a 2-minute walk away. It's also close to shopping markets, grocery stores, and daily essentials.
I highly recommend staying at Huong's Family Hostel. The owner is very helpful and provided valuable local tour guidance. He also assisted me in booking a Halong Bay day cruise at a competitive price and helped with currency exchange at a good rate.
The stay itself was neat and clean. Although the rooms are small, they're suitable for 2 adults and 1 kid. Overall, it was a really nice stay. I'd definitely recommend it to others."
