Pros: deluxe suite upgrade with balcony to 8th floor, view of the city, super comfy beds, accommodating front desk, buffet breakfast included, allowed us to keep luggage overnight, can book tours for, elevator up to 7th floor
Cons: less touristy area, but 13 minutes walking away from Hoan Kiem Lake
We arrived late at night and was greeted by Hao who made our stay so pleasant. He upgraded us to the deluxe suite which included a kitchenette, couch, twin bed and queen bed in its own separate room. The room was spacious, clean and very pretty with marble flooring. The bathroom was great because they separate the toilet and shower. The regular rooms (3rd floor) are also very nice with a twin and queen in the same room and a bathtub instead of a shower. Breakfast was included and offered fresh fruit, delicious mushroom soup, bread, beverages and sliced ham. They offer sim cards with data and phone:Mobiphone was 5000 per day for 4gb per day and vinaphone is 200000 for 8gb and 15 minutes local calling. Be aware of which plan and rate you are getting before they access your phone. We intended to get the mobiphone but they put in vinaphone.
Other than that small miscommunication, serenity hotel aka rising dragon is a wonderful place to stay at, Hao is super friendly and accommodating and made the...
Read moreWe booked this hotel for our first few days in Hanoi. ||Joy and staff are amazing and we were more than happy to keep using it as our jump off point in between visits to Cat Ba island and Sa Pa. They helped us to organise our boat trip but left our Sa Pa trip to us to organise as we wanted to go off the beaten track. There was no HARD sell from Joy, understanding and good advice prevailed. Even when we really needed to change our return bus time from Sa Pa, Joy went above and beyond to make this happen. (she was actually on a few days leave with her family in Ninh Binh but was still diligent in replying to my Whats App requests).||Great breakfasts, clean and well equipped. Situated on a street in the Old Quarter that is quieter and a real microcosm of Hanoi life. Best Bun Cha ever just at the other end beside the market and a view of the famous train line that rattles close to houses and businesses.||Thank you Serenity, AKA Rising Dragon Hotel.||Highly...
