Beeznees 1920s — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Upon going up the very steep staircase, my initial instinct was to turn around and head out seeing as how I was the oldest person there by probably 20 years. But they had a cool jazz soundtrack playing and I could see from the bottles they had some top shelf stuff so I figured, WTH, I’ll stay for one.

Well, one became three (plus some delicious shots) and I ended up staying until 1am. This is due to the quality of the cocktails and the friendliness and fun of the bartenders. They have some incredibly creative signature drinks and the knowledge and expertise (of these very young) bartenders allows them to create on the fly. They also have unique ingredients to create fantastic mixes. It may be “pricey” by Hanoi standards but in NYC this would have been a $75 USD night. 250,000-350,000 VND per drink is incredibly reasonable for this quantity. Easily the coolest speakeasy that I've seen in Hanoi. The entrance was well concealed that we actually fumbled around trying to open the door. The interior really does give off the 20s speakeasy vibes with music to match. Aesthetics was truly on point 👌👌👌👌.

However, I felt that the drinks were not the best. They were definitely good drinks, but there is definitely room for improvement. The service however, was really great. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Worth giving a tip for imo.

Overall, we really liked the experience, but feel like the place hasn't reached it's full potential yet! Would love to see new signature cocktails on the menu and hopefully when we're back, we can confidently give that ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating.

TLDR: Amazing vibes, good...

This place was incredible!!! We stumbled upon it when it was not open thinking it was only a tiny little bookshop. The only clue was the subtle speak easy sign. Later that night we came back to discover there was a secret door disguised as a bookcase taking us to a beautiful 1920's themed bar.

The ambiance was lovely with 20's jazz filling the space and a very well stocked bar to make any cocktail you could think of.

The head bartender welcomed us and was exceptionally well knowledged in cocktails and was very good at recommending new and exciting cocktails to try. There were also new signature cocktails they were experimenting with which were to die for.
