Le Foyer Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

Spent 4 nights here - broken by 1 night on the Hà Long Bay cruise.|For the first 3 nights we were in room 503. Room looks out over other buildings so not so great. Was quiet and had a good sleep. ||On the last night we were allocated room 1001. The bathroom is a disaster, with the shower and toilet in one area. So the entire floor gets wet. Good luck if you need to use the toilet after a shower. There was a lot of noise early in the morning; Since the room is directly above the breakfast area. |Breakfast was average. ||Staff were helpful and provided good advice about the area.||Despite the above, the location is great in the Old Quarter. The area is filled with restaurants, coffee shops and lots of family businesses.||People (and traffic) watching is good from the major...

Very mixed feelings about this hotel, let's start with the positives. The location is amazing in the old quarter, the rooms are OK, not a bad size and comfortable bed. The hotel taxi back to the airport is great value and the hotel itself is cheap, The not so good, we were at the back of the hotel, so the room had a window that was blacked out really. The WiFi is unusable, worst of all is the breakfast. I'm so easily pleased with food, but everything I tried was cold, bland or just tasted weird. I've been to Vietnam many times and normally the breakfast salads are amazing. Here, a few bits of lettuce with whole tomatoes on top.. I never returned during our 4 day stay. The location of the hotel is perfect: within walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake, Beer Street, Opera House, and many more establishments!

We stayed at 402 during our one-week trip to VN. The room is okay but we hear banging noises everr night and every morning. Prolly the ongoing construction of the neighboring hotel. Anyway, the service is okay and the free breakfast is fine. Our rooms got cleaned everyday and we got fresh towels daily, too!

When we checked out on Sunday, we asked the staff to keep our bags first since our flight was midnight. They gladly kept if for us and we went back to get it in the evening.
