Green Garden House — Hotel in Hội An

We tried 4 different hotels/home stays in Hoi An and this is definitely the best. We are sad that we only found this hotel on the last night of our stay in this beautiful city. This homestay is the best you will find in the city; it is located on a calm street near the city centre.

The host family is a wonderful down to earth family and I got to be part of the family for 1 night, they took me in without hesitation and we had wonderful conversations. They were the most wonderful people I’ve met in Hoi An and they turned a good trip into a great trip.

Furthermore, the owner and her sister are tailors. The owner brought me to the fabric store and explained the different fabric to me with all honesty, which is hard to find in this city as everybody wants to make a sale. The owner was able to guide me into picking a great material that fits my budget. The fabric was picked and the dress was done 3 hours later. The owner spotted the changes even before I noticed them and the adjustment was done within the next 30 minutes. I got the chance to see a tailor measuring, cutting and sewing the material and I must say this was the highlight of my trip in Hoi An. It was an humbling experience to see how exceptionally talented they are.

Staying in a home stay with a local family was a really fulfilling experience. The family at Green Garden House are warm, friendly and most certainly charming. They make the place feel like home and they are incredibly welcoming. We joined them for lunch one day and played UNO with their daughter on another. Jenny was amazing as she helped us post a parcel back home, did some laundry, made linen trousers and a pillow for us all within 3 days. I cannot stress enough how charming the family are. Staying at Green Garden House would be a good choice for anyone seeking to connect with local people at an affordable price in Hoi An. The accommodation was comfortable and fulfilled our needs perfectly. Our room had aircon and a fan, a comfy bed and a en-suite with an effective shower. The guest house is close to main street with many restaurants, coffee shops, atm’s etc and is only a short walk away from the main tourist area down...

My two friends and I spent about a week at the Green Garden House and had the best experience there! Jenny and her beautiful family welcomed us in from the start. Also Jenny was super helpful arranging busses, bikes, and giving local advice about Hoi An.

The location is superb: situated just a few minute walk from the old town and tucked into a quiet alley away from the hectic streets.

The free breakfasts were delicious and complimentary cold water was always appreciated. Our room was very spacious and clean. It was equipped with two full sized beds, a nice tv, and hot shower bathroom. The room was cleaned daily and always felt fresh.
