Questioned the safety, genuinely feared for our lives never would I recommend this tour. Here’s the story: As we boarded the bus the wind was blowing a gale, thunder started to rumble and I started to question whether the tour would run. The driver came on board quite cocky and said he had checked the forecast and there were two super cells either side of the coast but they would miss us. The driver joked through safety brief telling us emergency exits were the open windows of the bus. As we drove along the esplanade lightning was striking and by the time we hit main beach we were being pelted with rain. we were told to put the blinds down as we were getting soaked. These were fastened with elastics in several locations and were quite hard to fasten as you had to pull them quite tight. As we neared the boat ramp the wind was blowing forcefully the rain was coming down like nothing I have seen before and to my shock the driver starts to drive down the boat ramp to enter the water. The driver clearly saw the wind tunnel coming from under the bridge and stoped the bus just before hitting the water and as he stopped it was like we were stuck in a cycle and the bus was being battered with marble sized hail stones hitting everyone in the bus through the gap in the door. The force of the wind flung the curtains and everyone was screaming from being scared as the bus swayed from the wind and getting pelted with hail. Kids were crying parents were desperately trying to shelter small kids as men and the driver helper tried to keep the curtains from flying away and holding towels up to shelter people. At the end of the storm spike my kids were absolutely beside themselves crying to get off I even said I wanted the bus to be turned around to the helper but the driver continued to drive into the water and continue the tour as if nothing happened despite the severe weather still happening around us. If the storm had hit 30 seconds later we would have been on the water and I fear the boat could have tipped and there would be no emergency procedure we could follow as the plastic curtains were shut with the elastics that were hard to release. It is going to take a long time for me to get over what happened on the bus today and I cannot believe I spent $150 to traumatise my children. I thought I had selected a safe activity for my young family but that was farrrr from the reality. Today this tour put money before safety. The tour should never have run and when the weather turned as quickly as it did there was so many opportunities to stop the tour but they kept going and going and they put us all in danger. This company need to review their safety procedures and inform occupants of what to do in an emergency when the blinds are down. Such a...
Read moreTalk about lack of empathy and snobbishness of having monopoly in this mode of entertainment, this service will top it. I booked the ticket for 6 people and paid way over 300$. I made a mistake and misjudged the timing of tour. I started at 3:30 which was the timing of tour to begin. I was late but only 3 minutes away from their spot. Got the call and lady over the phone said, you are late, we can't wait ( then why are you calling ?). I told her that i misread the time, its my mistake, is there anything she could do as i was at the lobby of hotel Renessance and walking towards their spot with my family. Response was, " Well go back to your hotel". I asked "what that means ? Have i lost all my money ?" With absolute no respect and empathy, answer was "Yes you did". I am sure delay of 3 minutes would have caused enough disruptions because the driver shares some info beforehand, though i dnt need that as i did this in Singapore before, BUT i won't whine about they not waiting for me. Thing is, i was ready to pay extra to get any other slot as it was my mistake of missing the timing, but response was so f COLD. Anyways, i assume every single trip they are making must be overly filled with people, and they could not accommodate us in any other trip, though i was in GC for the next 3 days and i saw their bus moving around with enough vacant seats that could have easily accommodated us, BUT NO. I feel robotic automation is good here, when Human interactions result in the same outcome, then why to pay extra for an employee. Company owner should think about...
Read moreSo, the idea is good and it looks fun but the execution is terrible. 1) there is no effort to make it fun, there is not even one duck joke and that is low hanging fruit 2) The tour guide is not needed, having her point out there are shops and hotels as you drive past them is laughable 3) your tour guide has terrible spoken English 4) your ticket lady is miserable and rude, get a new one she is likely costing you a lot in lost sales, she snapped at my 5 years old Son and told him the model of the duck on the desk "is not a toy", he was just looking at it, he didn't touch it, what is wrong with her!? 5) stop contradicting yourself by talking of the beautiful marine life in one breath, then plugging Sea World in the next, we all know putting sea mamals in swimming pools, then getting them to do stupid tricks is not OK 6) take your own tour and ask yourself if this is fun or interesting?, its neither but with a rethink it could actually be good. Thks Don't dare condesend me and brush under the carpet your rude staff. Your ticket lady was on the tip of being aggressive towards my child and clearly should not work in tourism. Also do not give me the "all walks of life" nonsense in your response, I was an executive in the largest travel agency in the World and I know what a good tour is and this...
