I came here once recently and had the fried tofu and rare beef pho.

I don't know whether it was a fluke, but the pho broth completely lacked the authentic bone broth flavour. It seemed full of spices/aromatics, to an overwhelming degree, and tasted as if it had been cooked from an instant powder. (My Vietnamese family all agreed.) The rice noodles were also somewhat broken up and the meat was tough. Sadly I did not finish my bowl; frankly, it was the worst pho I've ever had.

I live around the corner from Ming Ming‘s Express and last night decided to give it a try with my brother and another friend. We were pleasantly surprised, firstly by the warm welcome from waiter, Jack, and then by the continued excellent service and outstanding food. We ordered two entrées which included delicious chicken wings and lightly fried cauliflower. I was feeling in desperate need of something light, healthy and tasty after being too overindulgent during my holiday in Surfers and Ming Ming's Express delivered. Very fast service of freshly made and excellent Vietnamese food - I ordered their lemongrass beef vermicelli salad and a prawn rice paper roll. Both were packed to the brim with crisp, fresh veg, perfectly cooked noodles and well-seasoned beef and prawn. The sauces they provided to go with them perfectly complemented each item.
