Appalled is an understatement.
I visited Laura at this flight centre back in early June. I have a gender confirming surgery planned November 21st for my transition from male to female At first she was very helpful and reassured me that she would help me find the best price/ stop overs as I was flying to Argentina for this surgery and it’s a long haul.
She took a good 4 weeks to reply to my further enquiries because I now have a friend coming with me so we were looking at flight paths with overnight stop overs with hotels. I had to physically go in and ask her if she’d received my email, she assured me I was next on her list. I even told her at this point I had paid the deposit for my surgery. 2 weeks later she emailed me with one flight option which looked somewhat appealing. I responded with questions about what the flight graph meant and which times were stop over times and asking advise on travel insurance etc.
That email I responded to was the 1st OF JULY. Since then I have heard absolutely nothing, I emailed again explaining how I am empathetic with how busy travel agents/ hospitality is as I work at a hotel myself. But that I really need to get this sorted so I feel like I have things lined up. Since then I have heard absolutely nothing. Just completely stopped responding to me.
My friend who is coming as my support person for surgery then had to step up and reached out to her travel agent at a different flight centre. 24 hours after my friend emailed that agent, we had MULTIPLE flight options to look at, the agent was telling us what temporary visa’s we would need for the stop over in Chile. And a few hours after that we had booked the flights. The price had gone up since it was closer to November by this point which was something I was trying to avoid.
I don’t know if Laura from this flight centre office had personal circumstances, which I would understand her giving me radio silence in that case. But a heads up or a call or email from upper management or someone monitoring clients if it is the case that Laura resigned, something happened in her personal life. Read moretravelled by train on Sunday to perth city flight centre to organise a Vietnam 13 day tour, the young male working there was not interested in assisting us in any way. they were not busy as only 1 other customer in the store, it felt like we had to drag him out of his seat to atleast get us a brochure which he wanted us to go away and read. we asked if they had somewhere for us to sit and read which he seemed to be displeased with and also rendering no assistance as if it was a hassle that we had even shown up. we had queries about a tour which also displeased him, finally I had had enough and let him know that common courtesy is free but he was being paid to be ignorant, unhelpful and completely rude . we were under the assumption that flight centre was a travel agency and there to help people with organising travel so who would of guessed that this guy just wanted us out of there and to stop bothering him during business hours. I would recommend any where else but flight centre perth, absolutely disgusted and complete waste of our time. ps. did not want to even give 1 star...

As we are Travelling Australia, we walked into the Esperance flight center, only to be told we can't help you, you need to call the flight centre in Murray St and speak to Justin. She gave us a number to call only to find out it is the main line which never answers. We ring 9 on the dot even tried 8.30. Nothing. If there was no stars you would get it. When I booked pre covid I had 2 amazing ladies that we dealt with that are no longer with flight center. They were from the South Perth Store. They were a credit to your company, but since then no response no help. I will not recomend you at all to anyone ever. I don't want to hear your excuses they are the same all the time. Since covid we have a high demand. Since borders open we are very busy. Call back. Well that clearly dont work.
